Wonderful tour of Salzburg. 5 star experience.

Fantastic tour of Salzburg from Vienna with our driver Roman. Great communication from Kevin in the lead up to us going on the tour. Perfect way of seeing Salzburg & the lake region & small Austrian towns on the way. Door to door which worked great for our family. Small tour numbers which was nice & allowed us to get to ask questions on the way yo each place & see the sights in comfort. 5 star experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking to see Salzburg & a little of the countryside outside of Vienna. Thank you Kevin & Roman we loved our tour.

Salzburg and district lakes - small group tour

Beautiful journey. The 2 stops at the lakes were amazing! The city guided tour in Salzburg with Gabi was too fast. The alligator guide/driver, Peter, was very friendly and knowlegeable. I highly recommend it!

    Absolutely amazing

Salzburg and the countryside in route from Vienna are amazingly beautiful. The lakes and small towns \ villages are enchanting. To enjoy well we will stay as a minimum overnight next time but at least a day trip is a must. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history.

    Day trip to salzburg

Peter picked us up on time and we were off.3 in our group.2 already on board Interesting Commentary all the way and stops anytime if needed. Firstly a few stops along the Lake District....beautiful and then on into Salzburg where a local guide has to take you for a hour walk around the key points Dale was very knowledgeable Mozart and the sound of music !! Then a couple of hours free time to roam on your own and have lunch before meeting back up and heading back a Different way so more chat and commentary. All in all a very good day And highly recommended this trip

How much does Salzburg and Lake Region Private Day Trip from Vienna cost?

Is Salzburg and Lake Region Private Day Trip from Vienna worth it?

    +

That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vienna, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Salzburg and Lake Region Private Day Trip from Vienna?

Is Salzburg and Lake Region Private Day Trip from Vienna suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Salzburg and Lake Region Private Day Trip from Vienna?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vienna can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vienna and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Salzburg and Lake Region Private Day Trip from Vienna start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vienna within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Vienna?

    +

On Outty we rank every Vienna experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Authentic Vienna Food Tour inc. lunch, street food, 3 drinks, Vienna Food Tour: Coffeehouses, Markets, Lunch & Street Food, Budapest Small-Group Day Trip from Vienna. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Vienna?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Vienna?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
