This is a private tour, which includes private transportation and an shared guide in Salt Mine Wieliczka. At the tour you will be picked up from yours acomodation place (up to 4km from city center of Krakow), and transferd in company of professional tour leader to Salt Mine in Wieliczka. Visitation of mine last aprx 2.5h. Explore 3km of underground tunnels, 2 lakes, and 2nd the bigest in the world undeground Chapel named of the Blessed Kinga, which is made in natural salt deposist so as their altarpieces and chandeliers. Walk through many unique chambers, and disover a history of 700 years old mine. Tours also contains about 700 steps to walk down, and elevator ride to the ground level on exit. At the end of the tour you will pass snack bar, and on the ground level souvenir shop.

Great experience
Lots of steps, but mainly going down. There is a lift to get back to the top. It was amazing, The statues and even the crystals on the chandeliers were carved by miners from rock salt.

Visit the salt mine for sure but buy it on your own.
I really enjoyed visiting the salt mines and thought the history was fascinating. Our driver was on time and very nice. However, I bought the private transfer to the Salt Mine that also included tickets and the way I read it I thought we had a private guide/tour. Viator charged me $284 for 3 adults. What we got was a nice private transfer but we were part of the regular tours at the mine, which was in English with about 35 people. I could have taken an Uber round trip and paid for the tickets online on my own and it would have been $120 for the 3 of us. As far as the tour, I would suggest that you try to get a male tour guide. We had a woman (with a high pitch voice) that was nearly impossible to hear with the size of the group and the acoustics of the mine. There isn't other information like an audio guide or written program so if you miss what the tour guide is saying you really miss a lot of context. I was apprehensive about the description of all the stairs and the depths of the mine. It was really very easy, a lot of walking down but not vigorous. The air in the mine was fresh and I was not at all claustrophobic.

LOTS of steps.
Daniel our driver was on time. He did get us water for the trip since there was none in the car when I asked. We often do private tours with Viator and there usually is water for the drive. Our tour guide inside the mine spoke clearly and she was pleasant. However, the tour groups are way too big at 40. If you are near rear of group it is impossible to hear her. My husband stayed in rear since his knees are not so good as to not hold anyone up. So he did not hear more than 1/2 the info.

Total rip off
We feel that we were totally ripped off for this trip. For a disabled entry plus helper to the mines was $55 An uber was $32 return. You charged us $249 Disability is bad enough but to be treated this way is terrible! You have made 250% profit If you have a conscience you will give us a refund amount - please!
