Saklikent Milli Parki
The view of Saklıkent Canyon, the first stop of our tour, will fascinate you. Words are not enough to describe this extraordinary natural phenomenon; Saklıkent manages to amaze even those who have visited this place before. The 13-kilometer Saklıkent Canyon, which was formed by melting snow on the peaks of Akdağ and heavy rainfall for thousands of years, is actually a relatively young geological formation. You can go as far as you dare in the canyon, or sit back on the riverside platforms and watch the view. Please wear Sensible/comfortable walking shoes. Take your swimwear and towels with you. Waterproof jacket (recommended in low season)

After our lunch break, we set off towards Tlos with our vehicles.

Tlos Ruins
It is not difficult to encounter something extraordinary at every step in the ancient Lycia region, which has the richest historical, archaeological and natural resources of southwestern Turkey. On the southern foothills of Akdağ (also known as Masisitus), there is Tlos, one of the best preserved ancient settlements to date. Words are not enough to describe the ruins of Tlos, which mother nature embraces with compassion. You will hear Pegasus and Chimera fighting on the castle hill (Acropolis), learn how the ancient Romans were healed in the Roman bath-hospital, feel the atmosphere of the Olympic Games and gladiator games in the stadium, access the secrets of Greek drama arts in the theater, and see human beings among many different graves in the old cemetery (Necropolis). You will understand the thoughts behind the desire to reach infinity.

Amazing beauty...and amazing Mehmit!
Mehmit tour guide was absolutly splended funny and full of great historical information. He even walked barefoot down the mountain as a ladies flip flop broke and he gave her his trainers! Our driver was also great! Please do go and visit here try book with this tour guide! The Saklikent Gorge was amazing def do this and if you are careful it ia pretty safe to take your fone but be aware you could slip in the water, wish I took mine. Next time a water saftey bag might be in my to pack list. The ladies making our pancake bread were friendly and hardworking! Lush day! Please tip where possible they all make such a nice day out for you.

It could have been better
The description did not share the needing of a swimsuit. Also the details for the day were reversed making 1 activity almost cancelled. Overall disappointment
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. You are completely right about the swimsuit notification, and we have immediately updated our product description to highlight this detail. We are also truly sorry for the change in the itinerary. The 9-day holiday in Turkey caused extreme crowding at the sites, forcing our guide to rearrange the schedule so you could still experience the activities. We apologize for the disappointment and thank you for your understanding. Sincerely

Excellent trip & guide
The only reason this didn’t get a 5 was lunch - fish was so overcooked only half of it came off the bone. Anyway - the trip was brilliant. Jesus the guide was very knowledgeable and funny. The trip was in a different order to the itinerary and was better for it. It meant we visited Tlos first (amazing) and then Saklikent in the afternoon - much better for those of us doing the rafting (only 500tl to get a large raft ring and paddle/spin down the river). Bring a towel and a change - there are changing rooms and stuff can be left on the bus. Also bring water shoes for the gorge walking - they can be bought there. Don’t wear sliders or crocs - they come off to easily and we saw several floating away! You can also do zip line for 500tl. All in all a highly recommended day out.
Response from the operator: Hello, thank you for your kind comment. We are glad if we could make you happy.

Very experienced guide…wow Tlos
Very experienced guide and Tlos was great. Good local lunch could have missed Yakapark as was, in my opinion, not necessary
Response from the operator: Hello, thank you for your kind comment. We are glad if we could make you happy.

Good trip
This was a good tour. Guide was excellent. Watch out for tic bites at Tlos as you are walking through long grass. I had to go to the hospital to get antibiotics to prevent Lyme disease.
Response from the operator: Hello, thank you for your kind comment. We are glad if we could make you happy.

Saklikent and Tlos Ancient City Day Trip From Fethiye: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fethiye.
How much does Saklikent and Tlos Ancient City Day Trip From Fethiye cost?
+
Prices start at $28 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fethiye usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Saklikent and Tlos Ancient City Day Trip From Fethiye take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fethiye is not rushed.
Is Saklikent and Tlos Ancient City Day Trip From Fethiye worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 41 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fethiye, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Saklikent and Tlos Ancient City Day Trip From Fethiye?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Saklikent and Tlos Ancient City Day Trip From Fethiye suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Saklikent and Tlos Ancient City Day Trip From Fethiye?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fethiye can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fethiye and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Saklikent and Tlos Ancient City Day Trip From Fethiye start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fethiye within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Fethiye?
+
On Outty we rank every Fethiye experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 2 people buggy safari half day beach and forest drive, Paragliding Oludeniz With Transfer - Fethiye, Turkey, Oludeniz Paragliding Fethiye Turkey, Additional Features. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Fethiye?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Fethiye?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
