Sacred Pilgrimage, pleasant and peaceful
Thank you so much for a wonderful trip. We began at 4am, right on time, and had a smooth trip to St Anthony’s, where I had plenty of time to climb the steps and pray in the sacred cave, followed by an interesting tour from a resident monk. Next, nearby St Paul’s where the tour was short and also interesting, from a friendly resident monk. Then a long drive back to Hurghada in time for an afternoon swim. Pleasant company all day long from my friendly driver. Absolutely recommended, especially for devout Christians for a once in a lifetime journey.

incredible opportunity to visit the Saint Paul and Saint Anthony Monasteries from Hurghada
The drive from Hurghada offers a remarkable transition from the vibrant coast to the serene desert landscapes. Upon arriving at the monasteries, I was immediately struck by the tranquility and historical significance of these sacred places. Both monasteries are nestled in the desert, creating an atmosphere of peace and reflection that is palpable from the moment you enter. Saint Anthony Monastery, known as the oldest Christian monastery in the world, was a real highlight. Walking through its ancient walls, I could feel the centuries of devotion and dedication. The monks there are incredibly welcoming, eager to share insights into their daily lives and the rich history of the monastery. The architecture, murals, and artwork are simply stunning, providing a glimpse into the past with well-preserved details. Saint Paul Monastery, not far from its counterpart, equally impressed me. The journey through the desert to reach it feels like a pilgrimage in itself. The remote location adds to the mysterious allure of the place. Exploring the underground caves where Saint Paul is believed to have lived as a hermit was both humbling and inspiring. The entire trip was well-organized, with knowledgeable guides who enriched the experience with fascinating stories and historical context. They were more than willing to answer questions and made sure the group was comfortable throughout the journey. In conclusion, visiting the Saint Paul and Saint Anthony Monasteries is a must for anyone interested in history, religion, or simply seeking a serene escape. The combination of spiritual depth and natural beauty makes it a truly unforgettable experience. I returned to Hurghada feeling refreshed and inspired, with a deeper appreciation for the rich tapestry of human history and spirituality.

So holy
My day with Mina was exceptional! He is a very nice and kind person. He took his time to show me a lot of cairo and tell me all about its history. He got me safely through the busy streets of cairo and even organised for me to make my own sugar cane juice. Thanks to Mina & HurghadaToGo is the best travel Agency in Egypt

Saint paul and saint anthony monastery private transfer: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.
How much does Saint paul and saint anthony monastery private transfer cost?
+
Prices start at $5 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hurghada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Saint paul and saint anthony monastery private transfer take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hurghada is not rushed.
Is Saint paul and saint anthony monastery private transfer worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Saint paul and saint anthony monastery private transfer?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Saint paul and saint anthony monastery private transfer suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Saint paul and saint anthony monastery private transfer?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Saint paul and saint anthony monastery private transfer start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hurghada?
+
On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada: Luxor Valley of the Kings & Tutankhamun Tomb Trip, Orange Bay Island, Luxury Cruise to Orange Bay and Hula Hula island Trip. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hurghada?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hurghada?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
