Great experience if you want a calm discovery of the formentera isle.
We made a reservation at the last moment (the evening of the day befor .going) and the person organizing the trip was sper responsive. The captain is a young man, positive and easy going with a good level of english. The main boat is a modern catamaran, with a motor in support of the sails. The boat is equipped with paddle boards, equipment to go snorkeling... It permits to enjoy the 3 beaches but also to forgo them and enjoy the stops in the sea around the boat. The first beach is the mist beautiful one: pure fine sand with waters this local-specific green blue so transparent water (such perfection), few people as it's harder to access except from boat. The second is beautiful but is mostly a way to access the restaurant whose prices will shock you (prefer your own sandwiches that you can bring on the ship or the sandwiches of the restaurant). I didn't visit the 3rd beach and swam near the boat.

The experience was very...
The experience was very nice, the catamaran is comfortable and the small group tour makes everything more intimate and relaxing. The catamaran stops 3 times, the first time in a tiny cute island, the second time for lunch in Formentera and the third time for a bath, but doesn’t stop at the beach. Don’t stop for lunch at the restaurant because it’s over priced. We spent 70€ each for a paella and some water, and we were asked only few hours before the tour started if we wanted to stop there for lunch. We did not have other choices, it was too late to go and buy something to eat on the boat. We spent also too much time there..The driver doesn’t communicate. He was not clear in explaining how much time we were supposed to stay at the restaurant, and he didn’t tell us that we needed to tip the boat driver who brought us to the restaurant. Overall, it was a great experience, but we were expecting more communication from the driver, who almost never talked.

10 out of 10 - no notes
We had an incredible time with Captain Tony. It was impressive to see him handle the boat, and meet all the needs of the passengers. His communication was clear and kind, and his competence as a sailor is unmatched. I highly recommended this fantastic excursión, we would love to do it again.

Nice trip
Excellent day at sea. Antonio was an excellent captain. There was a refrigerator on board for storing food. The directions for the meetup point were clearly communicated at booking and the day before.
Response from the operator: Thanks a lot for sharing!

Why this scores 84
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sailing Catamaran Trip to Formentera from Ibiza: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ibiza.
How much does Sailing Catamaran Trip to Formentera from Ibiza cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ibiza usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sailing Catamaran Trip to Formentera from Ibiza take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ibiza is not rushed.
Is Sailing Catamaran Trip to Formentera from Ibiza worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 103 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ibiza, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sailing Catamaran Trip to Formentera from Ibiza?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sailing Catamaran Trip to Formentera from Ibiza suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Sailing Catamaran Trip to Formentera from Ibiza?
+
Around 36 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ibiza can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ibiza and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sailing Catamaran Trip to Formentera from Ibiza start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ibiza within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ibiza?
+
On Outty we rank every Ibiza experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ibiza Beach Hopping Cruise with Paddleboards, Drinks and Food 6h, Ibiza - Xarraca Bay- Kayaking Tour MultiActivity snorkel, caves, 3 Hours All Inclusive Boat Trip Ibiza. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ibiza?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ibiza?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
