Located at the intersection of Cach Mang Thang Tam Street and Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, this striking monument commemorates the monk's self-immolation in 1963, a protest against the persecution of Buddhists by the South Vietnamese government. The statue depicts Thich Quang Duc seated serenely in meditation, surrounded by a symbolic halo of flames. This evocative imagery captures the monk's unwavering devotion and profound impact on Vietnam's history. The serene expression on his face contrasts with the intensity of his sacrifice, conveying a powerful message of peace and resilience. Awesome guides for bike food tour

We had a fantastic time on this tour with Khoa and Nhu ! Perfect guides ! Communication from start to finish was excellent. The boys were polite and very knowledgeable. We felt very safe on the back of the bikes, even though Saigon’s traffic is hectic. We covered several districts with them and tried several dishes. ( Actually so full lol ) The boys explained exactly what we were eating and showed us how to assemble or eat the dish. I loved that they showed us dishes that we may not have tried. They were also very knowledgeable with history. Taking us to some places we wouldn’t have thought to go. Some very interesting historical facts and info. Bonus was walking through the wholesale flower markets and also the hub of local food carts. I actually now have the confidence to order dishes on carts or in restaurants that I now like and may not have tried without the info we gained on this tour. I highly recommend booking this tour. Thanks Khoa and Nhu …… you were awesome!

Great city, great food, great tour guide!

We really enjoyed our Saigon Street Food Tour with Mary. The motorbikes made us feel like locals as we were professionally guided around the city to all the street food hot spots. Mary was always ready to explain the local foods or take our photo and always with a smile.

Saigon Street Food Odyssey: Vintage Jeep or Motorbike by Night: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ho Chi Minh City.

How much does Saigon Street Food Odyssey: Vintage Jeep or Motorbike by Night cost?

+

Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ho Chi Minh City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Saigon Street Food Odyssey: Vintage Jeep or Motorbike by Night take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ho Chi Minh City is not rushed.

Is Saigon Street Food Odyssey: Vintage Jeep or Motorbike by Night worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ho Chi Minh City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Saigon Street Food Odyssey: Vintage Jeep or Motorbike by Night?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Saigon Street Food Odyssey: Vintage Jeep or Motorbike by Night suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Saigon Street Food Odyssey: Vintage Jeep or Motorbike by Night?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ho Chi Minh City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Saigon Street Food Odyssey: Vintage Jeep or Motorbike by Night start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ho Chi Minh City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ho Chi Minh City?

+

On Outty we rank every Ho Chi Minh City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Adventure Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Tour From HCM, Cu Chi Tunnels Small-Group Tour: Vietnam War Underground Network, Cu Chi underground tour - Learn Vietnam war with others. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ho Chi Minh City?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ho Chi Minh City?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
