The Independence Palace
The palace is like a time capsule frozen in 1975. You can see two of the original tanks used in the capture of the palace parked in the grounds. Independence Palace was the home and workplace of the French Governor of Cochin-China. It has lush gardens, secret rooms, antique furniture, and a command bunker. Linh was the most amazing tour guide. She is incredibly knowledgeable, spoke fluent English, navigated us through large crowds and was very witty. I highly recommend this tour if you have a day to tour and visit all the best spots in Saigon.

We took this private tour on 22 JAN, 2026 . It was our first port on our Vietnam cruise aboard the Diamond Princes. We were met at the gate by our tour guide. The tour was long but very informative .
