Awesome Day out on the Bike

I booked a personal tour via Mr Biker Saigon and had a great time. The gravel bike was good quality and the tour guide, Khanh, was friendly and helpful. Cycling pace was good and it was nice to head out of HMC into the countryside to see a different way of life. It was a hot day so several coffee/cold drink stops were included with a lunch (and beer) at the end. Thanks again, Mr Biker and Khanh, it was a great experience! Chris Australia

Fantastic gravel riding from Saigon to Hue with Mr. Biker Saigon

My friend and I signed up for a Gravel Ride from Saigon to Hue through Art of Bicycle Tours, a 13 day tour of Vietnam which was fulfilled by Mr. Biker Saigon and it went very well! Mr. Biker Saigon was very welcoming and provided us with high quality gravel bikes, setup, support where required. Our guide, Mr. An, was positive, energetic, very knowledgable about Vietnam, the geography, culture, language and he even helped with suggestions of what to see and where to eat on our days off. He noted our riding abilities and preferences and adjusted accordingly. One riding day, I was not feeling well, and Mr. An and support van driver, Mr. Chau, increased the number of rest breaks that morning to accommodate my condition. We did a lot of quality riding on varied terrain, dirt paths, gravel, paths crossing rice fields, alleyways through fishing villages and some road with our guide always leading the way, with knowledge about the route, and route alternatives where they might become necessary due to bridge or road closures. Our guide stopped every once in a while to point out key landmarks, sites, and even initiated discussions with locals where we learned about their day to day lives and activities like farming, weaving, marketplaces, etc. The van support was excellent as well. We were supported with regular refreshment breaks with a variety of snacks and electrolyte drinks to keep our energy and hydration up for the rides. Lunch breaks were timely, with lots of options to accommodate my vegetarian diet preference, and was always ready for when we arrived, i.e., communication/ coordination was flawless between the guide leading our ride and the support van, and venues were we stopped. These were often at family run venues given our small group, which helped to give us a sense of the lifestyles and nature of the local vietnamese people. Lastly, the hotel accommodations were excellent with generous breakfast options available every morning. Mr. Biker Saigon is a very well run, fun and friendly group - they know cycling!. We always felt safe and looked after throughout this tour. I will be actively encouraging my friends to go on this trip, or any trip with Mr. Biker Saigon for that matter.

Response from the operator: Dear Jeff, Thank you so much for your incredibly detailed and wonderful review of your 13-day gravel ride from Saigon to Hue. We are thrilled to hear that your fantastic adventure went so well! We are glad you found our team welcoming and our gravel bikes, setup, and support to be of high quality. We will definitely pass your kind words on to your guide, Mr. An, and your support van driver, Mr. Chau. Mr. An is truly passionate about sharing his deep knowledge of Vietnam's geography, culture, and language, and we are happy he could tailor the ride to your abilities and give you great suggestions for your days off. We are especially glad that An and Chau were able to quickly adjust the pace and increase rest breaks when you were not feeling well—your health, comfort, and safety are always our top priority. It sounds like you really experienced the beautiful variety of our routes, tackling dirt paths, gravel, rice fields, and alleyways through fishing villages. We love that Mr. An facilitated discussions with the locals so you could learn firsthand about their daily lives, including farming, weaving, and marketplaces. We take great pride in the seamless communication between our guides and support vans. It is fantastic that you enjoyed the excellent van support with regular refreshments, the timely lunches at family-run venues that perfectly accommodated your vegetarian diet, and the excellent hotel accommodations with generous breakfasts. Thank you for saying we are a well-run, fun, and friendly group that knows cycling. We are honored that you felt safe and looked after throughout the tour, and we deeply appreciate you actively encouraging your friends to ride with us. We hope to welcome you back for another memorable trip in the future! Best regards, The Mr Biker Saigon team

Saigon Countryside Cycling Adventure: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ho Chi Minh City.

How much does Saigon Countryside Cycling Adventure cost?

    +

Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ho Chi Minh City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Saigon Countryside Cycling Adventure take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ho Chi Minh City is not rushed.

Is Saigon Countryside Cycling Adventure worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ho Chi Minh City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Saigon Countryside Cycling Adventure?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Saigon Countryside Cycling Adventure suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Saigon Countryside Cycling Adventure?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ho Chi Minh City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Saigon Countryside Cycling Adventure start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ho Chi Minh City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ho Chi Minh City?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ho Chi Minh City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Adventure Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Tour From HCM, Cu Chi Tunnels Small-Group Tour: Vietnam War Underground Network, Cu Chi underground tour - Learn Vietnam war with others. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ho Chi Minh City?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ho Chi Minh City?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
