Things Did Not Go As Planned

My husband and I were unfortunately unable to go on the trip. I was taken to the hospital the morning of the tour. Our English speaking guide had a family emergency the morning of the trip as well. He was unable to be the groups guide and they did not have another guide. We paid for a private tour and I was told the tour tried to move our group out of an air conditioned vehicle to an open air vehicle with multiple people to get the guided tour. Our group declined as we had paid the full amount for a private guided tour. I was told the food and experience was good and we are truly sorry for the family emergency. But things unfortunately did not turn out the best. I would advise people to do the tour, but be prepared for things to happen. I also did not have a reimbursement for those of us who could not make it due to our own medical emergency.

    Canceled at last minute

Booked tour of Punta Cana with this organization. I was charged for your snd the morning of tour cancels at 7 am. Never communicated during any emails that tge private tour did not have access to the cruise terminal. This organization is unorganized and ruined our only plans for the day.

    For the culture and vibes.

You can travel to places but if you don’t get out you won’t truly be visiting a new place. This excursion was exactly what we needed. Edwardo took us out and we explored the real DR. It was an amazing trip and we were able to see the true beauty and culture of the Dom Rep. Fantastic tour guide! My favourite part was going up the mountain and trying the real Dominican food. P.S. Macao Beach is breathtaking.

    EXCELLENTE!!!!

Skip the safari open air buses and go directly to this personalized and private tour in an airconditioned comfortable van. Being in our late 70s my husband and I opted for this tour for a few more dollars than a group tour. Our driver Adonis, and our tour guide Gabriel were fantastic. Adonis was an expert at navigating the many speed bumps, tight corners and bumpy roads while Gabriel was sensitive to our needs; he was very caring and gracious. He told us alot about the DR and its people and answered all of our many questions. He was extremely knowledgeable and communicated with us throughout the tour. Unfortunately, because I did not eat breakfast and was unaccustomed to the bumpy roads, I got a little carsick but Gabriel made sure I kept hydrated and fed. Despite the little setback it was a great trip and we had a fabulous time!! I highly recommend this one!!

Safari Full Day VIP Experience: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does Safari Full Day VIP Experience cost?

    +

Prices start at $32 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Safari Full Day VIP Experience take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.

Is Safari Full Day VIP Experience worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Safari Full Day VIP Experience?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Safari Full Day VIP Experience suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Safari Full Day VIP Experience?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Safari Full Day VIP Experience start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
