Lack of communication
Overall I enjoyed the experience but there were a couple of things which marred it slightly. After being picked up and taken to the ATV base, our driver got out and left us with no instructions of where to go. We made our way to the sheltered area ourselves and waited for the Quad safari to begin. A member of staff came and helpfully arranged our scarves in the correct way, we were then taken for a safety demonstration. The actual safari over beach and sand (plus a main road) was good and was well led. This took about 1.5 hours in total. A photographer accompanied us and took some staged shots at the photo stops as well as a video. These photos and video were available by WhatsApp for €30. Once back in camp, this was where I felt things were a bit disorganised. Our trip included a camel ride and a drink in a Bedouin village, we were not told any instructions about either. We were basically left to sit in the shelter. After about 10 minutes of hanging about we could see the Bedouin hut (purpose made) and ventured in ourselves. A man gave us a nice talk about Bedouin life and demonstrated some of the potions they make, he then was quite pushy in trying to sell us natural aftershaves or sun cream. Then our driver came in and twice interrupted us to say the bus was ready to go. I assumed we were then going to go for a camel ride but no, he said it was time to go and that everyone was waiting for us! It appeared that we had to seek out the camel for ourselves and had we not wasted time hanging about with no communication then that’s exactly what we would have done. I was disappointed about missing the camel ride. The three stars I give this trip are purely for the quad bike ride.

Ok
Good experience for the most part, though felt at times like riding through a desert building site rather than the desert, also collect in a car that seated 7, but we were a group of 8, plus the driver making it 9, not much in the way of aircon, so it let it down slightly, and of course felt slightly unsafe too… the guide was decent, friendly and would defo recommend him.
Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing us and for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed most of the experience and that our guide was friendly, professional, and helpful. We truly appreciate your recommendation of him. Our safari experiences take place in the natural desert environment, where the surrounding landscape can vary depending on the route and the area being explored. Regarding the transfer, transportation arrangements are organized according to the day’s operational schedule and group requirements. We appreciate your comments regarding the comfort of the transfer, and we will certainly keep them in mind as we continue working to provide a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again for an even better experience. 🏜️🐪

Best quads in hurghada
We booked this trip with Red Dragon. We would 100% recommend. We usually book through hotel but we did it direct with red dragon tours after reading trip advisor reviews. All communication via whatsap no hidden extras, very helpful with all the questions I had. The actual trip was amazing. We were picked up from hotel by guide who was lovely. Taken to quad centre all staff great, helpful and courteous. The actual trip itself was 110%, gutted we done it day before we leave as would book again. The two guides and photographer were brilliant. Really put us at ease. We did the desert and beach trip at 5pm perfect for us as not too hot. Felt like we were on the quads for hours, well worth the cost.

Safari ATV Quad, Buggy, Desert, Beach, Sunrise & Sunset– Hurghada: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Safaga.
How much does Safari ATV Quad, Buggy, Desert, Beach, Sunrise & Sunset– Hurghada cost?
+
Prices start at $4 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Safaga usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Safari ATV Quad, Buggy, Desert, Beach, Sunrise & Sunset– Hurghada take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Safaga is not rushed.
Is Safari ATV Quad, Buggy, Desert, Beach, Sunrise & Sunset– Hurghada worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Safaga, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Safari ATV Quad, Buggy, Desert, Beach, Sunrise & Sunset– Hurghada?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Safari ATV Quad, Buggy, Desert, Beach, Sunrise & Sunset– Hurghada suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Safari ATV Quad, Buggy, Desert, Beach, Sunrise & Sunset– Hurghada?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Safaga can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Safaga and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Safari ATV Quad, Buggy, Desert, Beach, Sunrise & Sunset– Hurghada start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Safaga within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Safaga?
+
On Outty we rank every Safaga experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Horse Riding & Camel Beach,Desert, Swim,Sunrise & Sunset-Hurghada, Dolphin House Full Day Snorkeling Cruise With Lunch – Hurghada, Orange Bay Giftun Island Snorkeling Cruise With Lunch – Hurghada. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Safaga?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Safaga?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
