Chinchero
This village is located 28 km from Cusco, on the tarmac route to Urubamba. Here are the remains of what was the royal estate of Tupac Inca Yupanqui, a beautiful colonial temple built on Inca foundations. Its main attraction, however, is its artisanal market, originally dedicated to the bartering of agricultural products between the commoners of the valley and those of the upper parts. Today, the market is a true show of color and movement that fascinates visitors with its offer of crafts and textiles made in the purest pre-Columbian style.

Maras Moray Tours
It is 7 km from Maras and 1 hour from Cusco city by the Chinchero route. It is one of the most spectacular visits, where circular platforms of different sizes are observed. These were terraces of agricultural experimentation and are also considered places of concentration of female energy, so they are recognized as a magnetic center of the Pachamama.

Salinas de Maras
Located northwest of the town of Maras, they are known by some as “salt mines” and are made up of about 3,000 small wells. Salt has been obtained since pre-Hispanic times through a sun-drying system of saltwater from an underground stream. Once the water has evaporated, the salt is ready for sale.

Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo
Typical Inca village located 21 km from Urubamba (2800 m). It was named after the chieftain Ollanta, famous for his affair with an Inca princess, daughter of Pachacútec. One of its best preserved areas extends north of Hanan Huacaypata Square, with a total of 15 blocks of mansions erected on walls of tilled stone. In the vast archaeological site, located on the hill that dominates the village, stand out buildings such as the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana and the Baths of the Princess. From Ollantaytambo, a path that ascends to the Malaga open road (4200 meters above sea level) and enters the jungle eyebrow, crossing towns such as picturesque Huilloc, home of renowned weavers.

Parque Arqueologico Pisac
Pisac is located 33 km from Cusco by asphalt road, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It has an ancient village and an archaeological site considered among the most important in Cusco, in addition to a modern village of colonial origin. Here you will also find Pisac’s famous artisan market, which attracts thousands of visitors and community members from remote villages, who wear colorful traditional garments. It is recommended to buy here the craft works, as they are usually cheaper than in the city of Cusco.

Sacred valley review from 4 20 year old boys.
We had an amazing Sacred Valley tour with Gabriel — he was fluent in both English and Spanish, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable, explaining everything clearly and with real passion. The whole day ran smoothly with great transport, and the buffet booked through Trip.com was excellent. He made the experience unforgettable and we’d highly recommend him! Tuvimos un tour increíble por el Valle Sagrado con Gabriel — hablaba tanto inglés como español con fluidez, fue muy amable y con muchísimo conocimiento, explicando todo con claridad y pasión. Todo estuvo muy bien organizado, con transporte cómodo, y el buffet reservado con Trip.com fue excelente. Hizo la experiencia inolvidable, ¡lo recomendamos totalmente!

On-the-go fun tour
Was a fun travel day. Among the longer tours on TripAdvisor, I felt this tour had the best value. The day before the tour I reached out on Whatsapp and confirmed the hotel pickup. The additional payment for entrance tickets was clearly explained and there were no surprises. Rafael picked us up promptly at about 7am. The transport was clean, comfortable and well maintained. Rafael's driving felt safe throughout the day. Alfredo Chile was the tour guide. Me and wife, were the only English speaking customers, but Alfredo patiently explained everything in both Spanish and English. It was also fun to travel with a Peruvian clientiele (on the other tours we did in Peru, it was all foreigners). All the stops were about the perfect duration, and we liked that the guide narrative was short and to the point. Had plenty of time to take photos and Alfredo pointed us to the best spot for photos. He also snapped photos for us, when requested. Alfredo answered all follow-up questions we had. Lunch buffet provided was good too. We arrived back in Cusco, approximately at 7pm as was planned. It was a constant, on-the-go tour. Thanks to Rafael and Alfredo, we were able to check off all the Sacred Valley highlights. There were some sales pitches thrown in, something we have seen on group tours in the past, but all were optional, nothing too pushy. Highly recommend this tour.

Percy Salas Alfaro is the best guide for Sacred Valley!
Our family of four did a one-day private tour of four sights in the Sacred Valley: Ollantaytambo Archeological Park, Chinchero, Moray and the Maras Salt Mines. We considered just getting a driver but decided to get someone that was an actual guide, and it was a great decision. Percy Salas Alfaro was friendly, very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. We learned so much and it made the day really special. Highly recommend Percy!!

Very good tour, and knowledgable guide, but barely any time in each place.
The tour was good, and our guide Diana was very knowledgeable and kind. However, after arriving at each location and hearing the explanation, we only had 10-15 minutes in each place, which was far from enough to really get a feel for the place. We were constantly being rushed to get to the next place, even though we would have loved to spend a bit more time in each place to really be able to explore. I believe that other guides explained each location in much more detail as well, and went to several places within each location (unlike one as we typically did), because we could hear some of the other guides when exploring on our own. Additionally, we were taken to three different shops, that in our opinion were unnecessary and added extra time that we could have used when visiting the interesting archaeological sites. For example, we were taken to a chocolate shop where we stayed for at least 20-30 minutes, and a silver jewellery shop where we stayed for a similar amount of time. We were also taken to a place where we received some explanation about how the women used the Alpaca wool to prepare different things and how to colour them, but the explanation was all in Spanish, so if you didn't know the language you wouldn't have understood anything. This activity was very nice, but we were then taken to an area with different stalls where we stayed for another 20-30 minutes. Unfortunately, we wished that we had had more time to explore each place and didn't spend time going to shops, since this was not our intention with the tour at all. Additionally, because of rushing everywhere, and going up and down in altitude constantly, you are more likely to have issues with altitude sickness. I personally felt altitude sickness after the tour, and had headaches all day long. I didn't feel the same way on any other tour that we did while in Cusco, including Lake Humantay, which is 4,200m above sea level, and I strongly believe that it was due to us being rushed around and not having enough time to properly explore and adapt to the altitude in each place. Sadly, I wouldn't recommend this tour due to the above, unless they removed some of the stops and added more time for each of the historical sites.

Tour guide was very responsible and nice. He introduces the trip without bothering the guests too much. Great experience. Just one minor improvement that I thought thr bus will drive us back to the hotel but it was not.
