It offers a stunning view of the valley below. You will be able to see Urubamba river snaking through the villages in the Sacred Valley of Incas. Pisac is home to one of the massive and a beautiful inca site perched on a hilltop overlooking the village. We will be driving you up the hill to the main entrance of the complex. This was the last tour we...
This was the last tour we took after spending 30 days touring South America. We were physically exhausted especially after multiple high elevation hikes. However our private tour guide made this tour very enjoyable and we were enlightened with cultural information. The buffet lunch was great too!
Response from the operator: Dear Eric, Thank you so much for sharing your experience on the Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour with Moray & the Salt Mines. We’re so glad to hear that, even after such an extensive adventure across South America, our guide was able to make your final tour both enjoyable and enriching. It’s wonderful to know you appreciated the cultural insights and the buffet lunch — the perfect way to end your journey! If you ever come back to Peru, we recommend exploring Huacachina and Paracas, where desert dunes meet the ocean — a completely different but equally unforgettable side of Peru 🌅. Warm regards, The Machu Picchu Tours Team

Our guide Julio was very...
Our guide Julio was very kind and patient, taking time to explain each attraction and answer all our questions. However, the tour itself felt poorly designed. It crammed too many stops into one day, giving us only about 30 minutes at each site before rushing to the next. Additionally, three of the stops were local shops—selling silver, alpaca clothing, and snacks—which seemed more focused on encouraging purchases than sightseeing, which wasn’t what we signed up for
Response from the operator: Dear Jilinna, Thank you very much for sharing your experience with the Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour with Moray & the Salt Mines. We're truly grateful for your kind words about Julio — it’s wonderful to hear he provided thoughtful explanations and patient guidance throughout the day. At the same time, we sincerely apologize that the tour’s pacing and commercial stops did not meet your expectations. Your comments are important to us, and we take them as an improvement. We’re committed to continuously improving our itineraries, and your insights help us ensure that future travelers enjoy a more balanced and enriching experience. Thank you again for your honesty and trust in Machu Picchu Tours. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and offer you a better experience next time. Warm regards, The Machu Picchu Tours Team

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour with Moray & the Salt Mines: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour with Moray & the Salt Mines cost?
+
Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour with Moray & the Salt Mines take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour with Moray & the Salt Mines worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 62 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour with Moray & the Salt Mines?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour with Moray & the Salt Mines suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour with Moray & the Salt Mines?
+
Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour with Moray & the Salt Mines start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Full-Day Humantay Lake Trek (Meals Included), Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
