Two days full of AMAZING!
Our 2-day trip began in Cusco. The evening before, we received a message from the tour company with the details of the day. We were told we'd be picked up at our hotel at 7:30-7:45, but they were there early...more like 7:15. We were still having breakfast, so thankfully, they were willing to wait for us to finish! Our tour guide, Michael, was very knowledgeable and spoke English well. It was a long day, with a lot of it in the van, but the experience was worth the bumpy roads and lengthy travel! There was a bit of confusion around the train schedule and location for our trip to Machu Picchu. We just felt as though more clarification would have been helpful. We needed to hear more than, "Don't worry about it. It's fine." When we arrived in Machu Picchu Pueblo we received help from several locals in finding our hotel. A police officer actually walked us there! The hotel, Retama, was lovely, clean, and the staff was so accommodating and kind! Our tour of Machu Picchu was spectacular! We were fortunate enough to have a sunny day despite it being rainy season! Our tour guide, Joel, was so passionate about the ruins and did a great job explaining the significance of each. He was also happy to take photos of us when we asked!! Our time there was probably our favorite! Even though it wasn't a perfect experience, it certainly was one we will remember for a lifetime! I highly recommend it!
Response from the operator: Dear Lori, First of all we are really sorry for what happend to you. And that you are not completely satisfied. Unfortunately we had this problem where you lost your train. (The departure time is written on the ticket). So, with all this happening, unfortunately you had to go by yourself. But in a normal day there are always a guide and a person from the hotel to bring you from the train station to the hotel in Aguas Calientes. All said, we are glad to know that you could truly enjoy the rest. Take care!

Amazing experience
Inca trail is difficult yet so rewarding. Machu Picchu is just beautiful. Our private tour guide, Anthony, was brilliant. Friendly, educational, and such a good photographer. Incredible 2 days, highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Great to read about you experience, Jason! :) Thank you so much for taking your time writing about your tour and about our guide. We are so glad to know you enjoyed everything. We are looking forward to our next adventure time together! Take care!

Cusco/Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu
My daughter, her medical school friend and I visited Cusco after a medical mission trip in Iquitos. The Machu Picchu tour was excellent and our tour guide Roni was very passionate about the history and it showed when he was telling us all about it. Our tour guide, Niko in Cusco was also extremely knowledgeable and gave us a very thorough tour of that wonderful city. The Sacred Valley tour was also good, but we didn't realize we would be left in Ollantaytambo to wait 3 hours for the train to take us to Machu Picchu. We should have been placed on an earlier train. On the way back, I had scheduled a time to enter Machu Picchu at 10:00 am and we didn't get to the mountain until 11:30 because the tour company was waiting for other people who were part of the tour. Then, the tour company booked us on the 4:00 train back to Ollantaytambo which then made us rush through Machu Picchu. The tour company needs to look a little closer at the times and make sure that there is enough time to get to the train in time. We we disappointed that we were rushed. In addition, there is no direct train back to Cusco so it was another 90 minute ride once we left the train station. Overall, it is a wonderful place to visit, just be sure to look at all of your times and give yourself plenty of it to make sure that you are enjoying the beautiful sights without being rushed.

Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu 2-Day Tour with Hotel from Cusco: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu 2-Day Tour with Hotel from Cusco cost?
+
Prices start at $409 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu 2-Day Tour with Hotel from Cusco take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu 2-Day Tour with Hotel from Cusco worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu 2-Day Tour with Hotel from Cusco?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu 2-Day Tour with Hotel from Cusco suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu 2-Day Tour with Hotel from Cusco?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu 2-Day Tour with Hotel from Cusco start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Full-Day Humantay Lake Trek (Meals Included), Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
