What you'll see and do

  1. Chinchero

We start the tour with the pick up from your hotel at 06:30 hours to go to the picturesque town of Chinchero where we will appreciate the remains of the royal hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui, a beautiful colonial temple with interesting frescoes on the porch (this place was built on the foundations of an Inca construction). We can also admire the Inca walls in the main square of the village, etc.

  2. Maras

Continuing with our tour we will visit the town of Maras, located 52 km from Cusco at an altitude of 3,380 m; the importance of the place is given by the mines of salt that it possesses; these salt mines are composed of about 3000 small wells of approximately 5 m ² from which the salt is extracted. The production of salt follows the process of extraction and drying of the salt water from an underground spring. The “Salinas de Maras” have been exploited since the time of the Incas in which it was used as a means of economic exchange.

  3. Maras Moray Tours

We then proceed to the Archaeological Group of Moray, located about 7 km. Of Maras. Moray is a group of terraces or circular platforms of different sizes, which at the time of the Incas were used as an agricultural experimental center; this was where they performed their studies of adapting plants to new ecosystems. In Moray 1 observes how the overlapping of the concentric rings of stone widens as it rises; the total depth is one 150 m. Our lunch will be a buffet style in a tourist restaurant in the city of Urubamba.

  4. Ollantaytambo

In the afternoon we head to the village of Ollantaytambo; There we will go up first to the Inca archaeological complex that was built to guard and protect against invasions, then there will be time to walk the streets of this small town and thus have a clearer idea of how this military, religious and cultural center was during the period of the Inca Empire.\

    120 minutes here

  5. Pisac

Then the bus will take us to the town of Pisaq to visit the local market; we will immediately ascend the archaeological complex of Pisaq and appreciate the agricultural terraces, cemeteries and real Inca constructions. Continuing, we will pass by the viewpoint of the Sacred Valley of the Incas; here we can take excellent views and photos of the Andes Mountains and the Sacred Valley itself. Finally, we will return in the bus to the city of Cusco and arrive around 19:30 hours.

Great tour

We had an amazing experience. The tour guy Happy Gringo Jorge made it fun for us . Also he was very knowledgeable about the Incas history and the driver Paul made us feel safe in the road. Definitely I recommend this company. We had so much fun.

A bit crammed, but you do see it all

We didn't quite realize how much was going to be packed into one day. We saw every site in the Sacred Valley which is too much. If I could do it again, I'd choose a tour that visited Ollantaytambo, Pisac, Moray, and the textile presentation. Our guide tried to provide information while we drove around in the bus, but the microphone and audio system made it almost impossible to understand what she was saying. If you have an aversion to buffets, I highly suggest bringing a boxed lunch from your hotel. This trip will take 13 hours, even if your guide says otherwise at the start of the day, so bring snacks.

Excellent 14 days in Peru. Completely unforgettable!

Myself and 3 other students all did a 14 day tour from Puno to Cusco including a stay on Amantani island, all of our day trips to rainbow mountain, humantay lake, the Inca sites and of course Machu Picchu. Marcos and the team were incredible, so friendly, so flexible and extremely helpful. We had the most amazing time and it worked out being excellent value for money. Marcos himself is so knowledgable about the area and they all went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time!! I would recommend this to everyone and I can’t thank them all enough for the experience!! (They even bought cake and balloons for my friends 21dt bday!).

Sacred Valley Complete Tour (Full Day): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.

How much does Sacred Valley Complete Tour (Full Day) cost?

+

Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sacred Valley Complete Tour (Full Day) take?

+

Plan for about 13 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.

Is Sacred Valley Complete Tour (Full Day) worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sacred Valley Complete Tour (Full Day)?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sacred Valley Complete Tour (Full Day) suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 13-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Sacred Valley Complete Tour (Full Day)?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 13-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sacred Valley Complete Tour (Full Day) start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cusco?

+

On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Full-Day Humantay Lake Trek (Meals Included), Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
