2 day tour, 2 completely different experiences!
If I could rate the days individually I would give day 1 a 5 out of 5 rating and day 2 a 3 out of 5 rating! Day1 - one of the best tours I have done in a long time! The guide picked me up bang on time and was super knowledgeable and was interesting to listen to he was brilliant a true asset to the tour! The stops and views were incredible and the guide switched the order depending on the weather and put in some additional stops - it was brilliant and I looked forward to day 2! Day 2 - Me, being a solo female traveller was put with a family of 12 that included 6 children! Why on earth would any tour company think that this is a good idea? I should have been warned in advance and given options to either do another day or pay the extra for a private! I was collected first and then onto collect them - there was delays with getting a child’s seat into the car- we did 3 stops and then went for the lunch which took hours!!! After sitting at a lunch for hours where I felt like an intruder on a tour that I had paid 204USD for I finally lost my patience as there was earlier talk that some stops would be missed and I viewed my annoyance at the situation. At that point I wish I could have left the tour as the day for me was ruined already. I voiced my concerns that I had paid 204 USD for the 2 day tour and had to pay the extra fees for the lunches which was 20 euros day 1 and 25 euros day 2! It was completely unacceptable that I was paying this money and I felt the family was given priority over me which of course they was they are 12 and I am 1! All stops happened but after going to the hot springs most of that family was done and you could tell they didn’t want to be there so I felt bad knowing they was completing all stops for me and the tour didn’t end till late. So not the best day for me and I left feeling annoyed at a situation that could have been avoided with better planning.

Definitely recommend Azores Dream Tours
Excellent 2 day tour. Covered all the major sites without me having to worry about researching, driving, parking - would never have fitted in so much if we had tried to do this ourselves. Our guide Pedro was amazing - super knowledgeable and friendly and even gave us good restaurant tips and advice on where to park etc as we were planning to drive into Ponta Delgada the next day. I thought the trip was really good value - 2 full days guided tour (approx 9.30-5.30), including hotel pick up/drop off and lunch. Entry to parque terra nostra, the volcanic cooking site at Furnas and waterfall has to be paid in addition but all v reasonable. Day 2 was v foggy and you couldn't see much of sete cidades but Pedro took us to see the natural springs in the area before heading back up when the weather had cleared up and we were then able to get some good views. I was really grateful we got another pass to see it. I booked direct from Azores Dream Tours website over email. They were very responsive and happy to answer my million questions.

Worth it!
We had a great time visiting the island with two different guides. Both guides, Piédro and Gonçalo. were great. Different style but that fit well with the different places visited. The were knowledgeable, good driver and great storytellers. Would highly recommend booking with them.
