What you'll see and do

    1. After the 1.5 hour drive from Jaipur, stop at Samode Bagh, a gorgeous property owned by a royal family in the countryside of Samode. Here you will be treated to a cup of tea or coffee before you depart in a car and ride 15min with Mohan to the Samode Village. You will take a walking tour through the village, exploring the working life of ironsmiths and artisans. You will then drive 10min in the car with Mohan to his farmhouse. In an outdoor courtyard, you will watch Mohan’s wife and mother prepare a vegetarian Rajasthani meal. They cook fresh vegetables in homegrown spices over a wood fire and land will teach you how to grind fresh garlic chutney. You will then share this vegetarian Rajasthani meal with Mohan at the farm table. Your meal concludes with homemade chai made from milk from the cows you are surrounded by on this beautiful rural farm. Please note, this experience is not a professional cooking class or tour, rather it is meant to be a visit into an authentic, local home to meet a local person and share the culture and cuisine together.

This was the highlight of our...

This was the highlight of our weekend in Jaipur! Mohan was an excellent host and we felt like we were part of his family. From the visit to the village of Samode and his flexibility when we saw the gem store and had to stop for 45 minutes he was nothing but gracious and nice to be with. His wife made us a delicious lunch and we spent time on the farm better understanding how his whole family works together to bring in the crops. Seeing the difference outside a large city like Jaipur was one that won't be forgotten and I very much hope we can go back to visit him and his family. I strongly recommend this tour if you are interested in a very different life from the bigger cities like Jaipur. You won't regret it!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jaipur.

How much does Rural Farm Experience in Samode Village outside Jaipur cost?

How long does Rural Farm Experience in Samode Village outside Jaipur take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jaipur is not rushed.

Is Rural Farm Experience in Samode Village outside Jaipur worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 43 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Jaipur, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Rural Farm Experience in Samode Village outside Jaipur?

Is Rural Farm Experience in Samode Village outside Jaipur suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Rural Farm Experience in Samode Village outside Jaipur?

    +

Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jaipur can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jaipur and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jaipur within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Jaipur?

    +

On Outty we rank every Jaipur experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Full Day Jaipur Tour with Guide, One Day Tour With Pink City Guide, Private Full Day Jaipur Sightseeing Tour By Tuk Tuk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Jaipur?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Jaipur?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
