Amazing
This was the highlight of our tour to Turkey! Once again the preservation of this place is mind-boggling! To think that The Bible refers to this place!
via Tripadvisor
Great place, steep fee, hard to find (by car)
Coming from a conference in Bodrum, I drove for two hours for this unique archeological treasure - not easy to find because there are hardly any signs on the road!!! The place is great no doubt, but also very commercialized. Charging 1500 turkish lira for local families is the biggest ripp-off. And you have to ask actively for a small paper map to find your way around. The site is amazingly well preserved, you can see temples, mosaics, a huge roman aphittheater and the famous library front so famous for pictures.

Experience Fell Flat
Might have been amazing, but our tour guide was dry and hard to understand. I was most interested in visiting this historical sight, but it fell flat. Compared to a place like Pompeii which we had a fantastic tour guide which made it fascinating and interesting, this one not so much. Hire a private tour guide for Turkey and the ruins.

How many days do you need in Kusadasi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
