About this experience
Dive into Berlin history and sights with total rudeness Berlin is where it happened! From the rise of the Prussian empire to Fall of the Wall, from the Threepenny Opera to the flourishing of techno, this city is full of happenings and histories. It may all seem a bit overwhelming at first, which is why we recommend that you begin your Berlin sightseeing with us! Our flagship Berlin walking tour, the Rude Bastards, is very different from the usual politically correct BS that you are likely to experience from the stodgy lecturing types. Think of this as the politically incorrect tour of Bthoerlin. So bear in mind it will be full of bad language, unapologetic jokes and, yes, of course, wildly disrespectful history lessons! No snowflakes allowed!!! Discover also the other Rude Bastards tours in Europe on Viator!

Great tour - recommend
Great tour, delivered with sensitivity and humour. Dianne was a fabulous and knowledgeable guide who made sure everyone felt included and she delivered at a great pace. It was only a small group so there was room for discussion - it didn’t feel like we were being ‘talked at.’ The tour included a stop off at a small independent cafe (which was very reasonably priced for Berlin) at around 11:45 so people could sit, chat, and refuel. The tour was donation based - the guides don’t make a penny from the booking fees. Definitely glad we chose this style of tour over a more traditional one - from the get-go my adult kids and myself had a wager on how many f-bombs would be dropped which made it even more entertaining.

We had a great day with Anna
Anna was a cool and knowledgeable guide. We had the most fun we’ve had in a tour. Lots of laughs but also packed with history lessons every second of the way.

Lively Berlin walking tour
From the start the tour lived up to expectations - meeting place fresh bright and easy to find - arrive early for food and beer. Alex was so friendly and made everyone in the group feel like we were all long lost friends from the start - presented the tour like he was talking to a mate. Loads of info, presented in a well informal and irreverent way - as described in tour title. Checkpoint Charlie info and intro was worth the wait till later in the tour😆. I'd definitely recommend this tour with Alex as the guide.

Humorous and informative
Our guide was great! The tour was both humorous and informative. This is a great activity to do if you are in town for the Berlin marathon.

So much fun learning about something so dark
What a wonderful way to tour Berlin! Thanks to our awesome guide, Alex AC, it was enjoyable to learn about such dark history but in a way that was raw and real while still being respectful. My teenage son has been tired of all the tours I took him on around Europe, but he really enjoyed this one. It kept him laughing but also learning. Don’t hesitate to book if you’re into the dark humor but still respectful!

Rude Bastards tour of Berlin (CYHIT): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Berlin.
How much does Rude Bastards tour of Berlin (CYHIT) cost?
+
Prices start at $5 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Berlin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Rude Bastards tour of Berlin (CYHIT) take?
+
Plan for about 3.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Berlin is not rushed.
Is Rude Bastards tour of Berlin (CYHIT) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 91 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 1,499 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Berlin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Rude Bastards tour of Berlin (CYHIT)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Rude Bastards tour of Berlin (CYHIT) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Rude Bastards tour of Berlin (CYHIT)?
+
Around 525 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Berlin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Berlin and add a light layer if any part of the 3.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Rude Bastards tour of Berlin (CYHIT) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Berlin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Berlin?
+
On Outty we rank every Berlin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Berlin's Best: 2 Hour Walking Tour Third Reich and the Cold War, Communist East Berlin and Berlin Wall Small Group Walking Tour, Sachsenhausen concentration camp.. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Berlin?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Berlin?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
