An amazing guide.
The tour guide arrived relatively on time; she was very professional in sharing everything she knows about this magnificent palace. She is very patient and very friendly. She made me feel like I was with my sister.

Need updated location
Tripadvisor didn't even have the new location when they moved over a week earlier. Barely made the reservation time. Won't be using in the future.
Response from the operator: Dear traveler, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear about the difficulty you experienced finding the correct meeting point and the stress this caused before your Royal Palace tour. We understand how important it is to receive clear and up-to-date meeting information, particularly when a location has recently changed. We regret that the information displayed through Tripadvisor had not yet been updated and that this resulted in you almost missing your reservation time. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as accurate coordination with our booking partners is essential to avoiding situations like this. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and hope that, despite the difficult start, you were able to enjoy your visit to the Royal Palace. Kind regards, Fun and Tickets Team

Lotsa history
Enjoyed learning the history of Spanish royalty. It was a lot to absorb. But it set the stage for the next day’s visit to the Prado. Visiting in August was HOT. Regret not bringing my personal neck fan
Response from the operator: Dear Joy, Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re delighted that you enjoyed learning about the fascinating history of Spanish royalty during your visit to the Royal Palace. There is certainly a great deal of history to take in, so it’s wonderful to hear that the tour also provided useful context for your visit to the Prado Museum the following day. We also appreciate your comment about the August heat and the helpful tip about bringing a personal fan. It’s useful advice for future travelers visiting Madrid during the summer. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you again on another tour. Kind regards, Fun and Tickets Team

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Royal Palace of Madrid Small Group Skip the Line Ticket: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.
How much does Royal Palace of Madrid Small Group Skip the Line Ticket cost?
+
Prices start at $54 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Royal Palace of Madrid Small Group Skip the Line Ticket take?
+
Plan for about 2.2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.
Is Royal Palace of Madrid Small Group Skip the Line Ticket worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 857 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Royal Palace of Madrid Small Group Skip the Line Ticket?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Royal Palace of Madrid Small Group Skip the Line Ticket suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Royal Palace of Madrid Small Group Skip the Line Ticket?
+
Around 300 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 2.2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Royal Palace of Madrid Small Group Skip the Line Ticket start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Madrid?
+
On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Madrid?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Madrid?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
