Good day trip
We stayed in Naples and wanted to take a day trip to Caserta because we have some family history there. The driver picked us up from our hotel at 9:30 and drove us to the Royal Palace where we met our tour guide. She was wonderful and had so much knowledge! The driver was also kind and the car was clean. We had a great day, but I don’t think the price was worth what it includes. We paid $555 USD (group of 3 people), but that only covered transportation (which we knew, but looking back a taxi or train would have been much cheaper). No water on board, no wifi, and little commentary. We paid an extra 180 euro for the tour guide, plus 57 euro for tickets to the palace, plus 55 euro per person for lunch at the winery (excellent meal and wine). Again, we had a great experience and this was all clearly stated in the booking, but I don’t think we needed to pay $555 USD for only a driver. Taxi or train is probably cheaper, but it was nice to have the peace of mind to not have to worry about calling one.
Response from the operator: Dear Mr Haley, we are very glad that you enjoyed the day tour with our company.. The guide , the winery and the nice English speaking driver with a Mercedes Benz Sedan, was not possible to enjoy if you will not book with us.. Regarding the price.. we understand that probably you might save money.. using as you said the public transportation.. But we guarantee you that you will never enjoy your day tour as much as you did with us.. This is the reason why your money was spent well.. and you had not worries about anything.. Our experience was put into your service.. and this is the reason why you had a fantastic day.. We are very glad that you enjoyed.. Regarding the water and the wifi , we always carry it on board.. probably you didn't ask for it , nether for the wi-fi , like many customers do, and at the end you though that we didn't have it .. Kind regards Vincenzo Frattini AmalfitourCampania.

Five Star Afternoon with Ferdinando
We met Ferdinando at the agreed location after our visit to the MANN in Naples. We visited the Cantina del Vesuvio winery to sample wines and enjoy an amazing meal with Vesuvius in the background and finished at the Royal Palace for walk through the grounds and apartments. We were dropped off at our hotel close to the winery and Ferdinando was a helpful guide at each stop along the way.

Day trip to the regions around Napoli
Carmine met us 10 minutes early in a clean Mercedes Van. We departed Napoli and headed to the Palace at Caserta for a 3 hour tour. Carmine was just around the corner when we exited and then off to the winery Cantina del Vesuvio in Trecase on the foothill of Mt. Vesuvious. Beautiful views of the volcano and Bay of Naples. Carmine was chatting with the vineyard workers when we wrapped up a tasting and lunch. He was the perfect chauffeur and commentator. Highly recommended

Private Guide is a must! Ask for Daniella!
Favorite part of the excursion was Daniella, our personal guide through the palace. Be sure to ask for her. She was amazing and made this visit remarkable. Incredibly knowledgeable and very kind. Our shore excursion was cancelled at the last minute by our cruise ship. I contacted Viator looking for a last minute trip. Vincenzo responded promptly and arranged a ride in a private van to the Palace. He also suggested the private guide and I am so thankful for that. The ride to and from the Palace was efficient with driver Danielle. He handled the VERY crowded and chaotic streets of Naples amazingly. Thank you Vincenzo for helping to make our day in Naples a memorable one.
Response from the operator: We always do our best for our customers.. I'm very glad you did appriciate.. Kind regards Vincenzo AmalfiTourCampania

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Royal Palace of Caserta tour and winery Cantina sul Vesuvio .: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does Royal Palace of Caserta tour and winery Cantina sul Vesuvio . cost?
+
Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Royal Palace of Caserta tour and winery Cantina sul Vesuvio . take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.
Is Royal Palace of Caserta tour and winery Cantina sul Vesuvio . worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Royal Palace of Caserta tour and winery Cantina sul Vesuvio .?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Royal Palace of Caserta tour and winery Cantina sul Vesuvio . suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Royal Palace of Caserta tour and winery Cantina sul Vesuvio .?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Royal Palace of Caserta tour and winery Cantina sul Vesuvio . start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
