    An Adventurous Ecuador Anniversary!

There is no way to give 600 stars so I will settle for 5! Explorasierra hosted the most wonderful tour!! All options were comprehensive and clearly explained upfront on the activity, the needs, the possible challenges and cost. Ask all your questions upfront and expect prompt communication. Santiago was the best guide on tour Amazon Tour and Chimborazo Climb for our 5 day stay in Banos Ecuador. Both of these excursions require different physical demands and he was a patient, non-anxious presence that was clearly knowledgeable about Ecuador and its many regions. His passion and connections with local residents and tribes was undeniable going back almost 20 years! My husband and I had a tailored experience to who we are and what we desired to learn and experience on our anniversary. Coming from the states and to a country for the first time, there can be a fear of being scammed or having an underwhelming experience. THIS WAS NOT THAT! THIS WAS OVERWHELMINGLY WONDERFUL in the best way! If you are looking for adventure tailored to your desires with professional, passionate, knowledgeable and kind people- BOOK WITH EXPLORSIERRA. I’m not paid to say this or know them prior to our visit…I genuinely am so grateful to have found this agency!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your visit. Your kind words about Santiago truly warm our hearts. He is a valued member of our team, and we are proud of the exceptional service he provides to our guests. We believe that personalized service is key to creating memorable experiences, and it’s wonderful to know that Santiago made a positive impact during your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

    Fun day at the waterfalls

Spent a great day visiting waterfalls and seeing some from a distance, others up close. The tour also included options to stop at additional spots like the zip lines and tarabitha (cable car). We were lucky that there were only 2 of us who signed up that day, but I understand that groups can be much larger too. This would have been a five star rating, but there was some confusion about whether the trip included a stop at the adventure park (the last stop mentioned on the itinerary) so I'm giving it 4.

Response from the operator: What an exciting day you had! The waterfalls are truly spectacular, and I'm glad you were able to enjoy the experience with such a small group. It's great that you had the chance to get up close to some of them. I understand the confusion about the stop at the adventure park; that can be frustrating. It might be helpful for the tour to clarify those details in the itinerary so that all participants know what the package includes. Still, it sounds like you had a great day. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Route of the 8 Waterfalls in Baños: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Baños.

How much does Route of the 8 Waterfalls in Baños cost?

    +

Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Baños usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Route of the 8 Waterfalls in Baños take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Baños is not rushed.

Is Route of the 8 Waterfalls in Baños worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Baños, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Route of the 8 Waterfalls in Baños?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Route of the 8 Waterfalls in Baños suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Route of the 8 Waterfalls in Baños?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Baños can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Baños and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Route of the 8 Waterfalls in Baños start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Baños within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Baños?

    +

On Outty we rank every Baños experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rafting Tour, Full Day Baths, The Best Extreme Canyoning -Cashaurco in -Banos Ecuador. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Baños?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Baños?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
