We liked it but we wish we could learn more from our guide.

Ahmet was a good and reliable driver and Mostapha a good guide but we wish we had spent more time talking to him. For organisational reasons guides are not allowed in the temple so you only get the guide's explanations for about 10-15 mind before you enter.

amazing ancient architecture

Our guide Hassim was friendly, knowledgeable, and obviously proud of his heritage. He made sure we weren’t pestered by vendors and that we got a good price when we did decide to buy things. We were free to marvel at the innovation and artistry of the ancient Egyptians, knowing we were in capable hands. We also appreciated the multiple water bottles they supplied.

Enough to book a driver

Tour was okay. Guide spoke German very well and explanations were interesting. However, I think next time I would just book a driver. It feels weird to have a guide in the car for 6 hours and only have explanations for 15 minutes before the temple since they are not allowed inside. Abu Simbel is worth it but not as guided tour.

Response from the operator: Dear Valued Guest, Thank you so much for taking the time in sharing your views with us and the community. Thank you for being fair to rate the tour guide as he is speaking German very well as well as the tour was okay. Also that you previous knowledge that the tour guides as not allowed lecturing inside the AbuSimbel temples. We have contacted the Tour guide and he confirmed that he Gave a good lecture infront on the temple cover all the wall scenes that you will see inside and continues for almost 35 to 45 minutes. Then you had free time to walk and enjoy the Temples. As well as he share some info. concerning the toshka depression, Lake and projects that you have seen along the way. Your views are highly appreciated and we are so pleased to have them all into consideration to ensure a better experience to you next time and for every traveler with us. We will pay much more attention to all tour mentioned details and will take all proper actions to prevent them from happening again. Thank you always.

Worth the trip

Nile Holiday Tour Company was dependable; our tour guide Mary was on time (3:00AM) to pick us up in our hotel; she was super nice - sharing her knowledge about the temple and its history, what the writings on the walls were about...really good! She was also kind enough to take awesome pictures.

Response from the operator: Hello Dear landilo, Have a nice Day Thank you so much for sharing your views and experience with Nile Holiday. We are so pleased to see how happy you are with your trip. Your review is highly appreciated and is very important to us and the community of whom are thinking about travelling soon. Thank you again!

Not convincing!

If you are part of an organized group, you do not need to rent a private vehicle. No more value, especially if you come across, like us on a guide not very good at all!.

Round-Trip Transfer from Aswan to Abu Simbel: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Aswan.

How much does Round-Trip Transfer from Aswan to Abu Simbel cost?

+

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Aswan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Round-Trip Transfer from Aswan to Abu Simbel take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Aswan is not rushed.

Is Round-Trip Transfer from Aswan to Abu Simbel worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Aswan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Round-Trip Transfer from Aswan to Abu Simbel?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Round-Trip Transfer from Aswan to Abu Simbel suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Round-Trip Transfer from Aswan to Abu Simbel?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Aswan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Aswan and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Round-Trip Transfer from Aswan to Abu Simbel start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Aswan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Aswan?

+

On Outty we rank every Aswan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 4-Day 3-Night Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor&Abu Simbel+Balloon, 4-Day 3-Night Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor - Private Tour, 3 or 2 or 1 Nights Mighty Nile Felucca Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Aswan?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Aswan?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
