    Great for history buffs

Owen was a great guide. Very informative and gave us a great opportunity to see local homes as well. I would do this with adults not kids - but for those wanting to learn the background and some history it was a great experience. Owen even helped me get a special souvenir I was wanting!! The company did pick us up two hours later than our planned 9 am- but kept us updated to the problem.

Response from the operator: Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry again for the delay caused due to operational issues beyond our control. Glad Owen helped you got the item you were searching for and that his insights and information were helpful! Thanks for visiting Jamaica and thanks for booking with Fun Tours Jamaica. We do appreciate you!

    Best tour in Montego Bay!

The tour we did with Jody and Stenett was one of my favorites! We toured the Montego Bay Cultural Center and Rose Hall Great House. It was an awesome tour and we felt that we were in capable hands with Jody and Stenett taking such good care of us. We started with the Cultural Center and it was just so much information to take in. I feel like I must do it again some day. I can't recall the name of the guy that gave the tour of the Cultural Center but he was great and very knowledgeable. I wish I had thought to have cash with me so I could tip him. I wasn't aware that we would be going to so many places when I booked the tour. After we toured the center we went to Rose Hall Great House. I booked the tour because of Rose Hall, and then Hurricane Melissa happened. We thought that we wouldn't be able to visit the Hall, but were able to see everything. The story of the White Witch was very interesting. I was constantly looking over my shoulder to see if her ghost was with us. I would totally do this tour again, and have told many friends and clients about it.

Response from the operator: We’re truly happy to hear that your tour with Jody and Stennett was one of your favorites. It’s great that you enjoyed both the Montego Bay Cultural Center and the Rose Hall Great House, there’s definitely a lot of rich history to take in, and we love that it left you wanting to come back for more! We’re especially glad everything worked out despite the weather, and that you were still able to experience the White Witch—she certainly keeps things exciting! Thank you for recommending us to your friends and clients. It truly means a lot. We look forward to welcoming you again for another unforgettable experience in Jamaica!

    Best Excursion in the Caribbean

My sister and I went on excursions all over the Caribbean for two weeks and this tour was the best of them all. Miss Smith (our guide) and Stennet (our driver) were superb in their jobs. Miss Smith is knowledgeable, cheerful, and fun. Stennet is an incredible driver. I joked with him that F1 needs a Jamaican driver. My sister and I greatly appreciated that we were given bottles of water to start the tour. Later on, we also sampled coffee, rum, and a liqueur in a shop that was full of lovely souvenirs at reasonable prices. Next we went to a museum near Sam Sharp Square and this part of the tour was overwhelming. I knew a little about Jamaica's history but this museum and the docent who took us through it amazed me. The section on Rastafarianism was also highly interesting and educational. Miss Smith then gave us delicious, hot Jamaican pastries as we made our way to St. James church. This is a beautiful historic place and we enjoyed both the pastor's information and seeing the wild & happy children in the church school. Finally, we went to Rose Hall. This was the highlight of our informative, exciting tour. Rose Hall is fabulously restored and our docent there was also intelligent & good-humoured. We learned a lot from her, too. Miss Smith and Stennet deserve praise for their fine work and their delightful attitude to tourists. They made us feel welcome!

Response from the operator: Thank you for this wonderful review and for sharing your experience with Asania and Stennett! We’re delighted to hear that the tour met your expectations. At Fun Tours Jamaica, we always strive to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests. Thank you for visiting Jamaica and for choosing Fun Tours Jamaica!

Rose Hall Great House and Montego Bay Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Montego Bay.

How much does Rose Hall Great House and Montego Bay Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Montego Bay usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Rose Hall Great House and Montego Bay Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Montego Bay is not rushed.

Is Rose Hall Great House and Montego Bay Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Montego Bay, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Rose Hall Great House and Montego Bay Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Rose Hall Great House and Montego Bay Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Rose Hall Great House and Montego Bay Tour?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Montego Bay can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Montego Bay and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Rose Hall Great House and Montego Bay Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Montego Bay within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Montego Bay?

    +

On Outty we rank every Montego Bay experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Montego Bay Airport Transfer to Negril, Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls Private Tour from Montego Bay, Appleton Estate Admission Ticket & Distillery Tour with Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Montego Bay?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Montego Bay?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
