Bike ride through Rome

Nima was a great tour guide with a lot of knowledge about Rome, both old Rome and today’s Rome. There were only 4 of us so it was easier to get around. He was very good about making sure we were safe and that we knew how to operate the bikes. Because we were a small group he took us to a favorite coffee place that had delicious coffee. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great tour!! Thank you, Nima!

This was a really cool way to see the city. The directions to the location are clear, Nima certainly knows what he's talking about, and he showed us a lot of the city that we weren't able to see otherwise. Definitely recommend.

Action Packed Day in Rome

We made the best decision choosing this tour with our Guide AleViandante. We only had one day in Rome and this tour exceeded our expectations. Allessio ensured that we got to see all the important sights that we wanted to see as well as sooo much more behind the scenes that we never expected. He shared so much about the history of Rome and many interesting facts. And of course the extra special touches of the beautiful photographs taken and sharing Gelato together. We will not forget this for a long time... Thank you Allessio

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this beautiful review! Alessio (AleViandante) was absolutely delighted to show you the very best of Rome and those secret "behind the scenes" spots! When you only have one day, we want to make every second count with history, great views, and of course, some delicious gelato together! Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back for a longer stay next time!

Amazing tour with a wonderful guide

This was a fantastic tour!! So much fun. And we learned a lot. Our tour guide was Ilenia - she was knowledgeable, friendly, fun, helpful, patient. We were fortunate to have a small group - my husband, me, plus one other couple - which made getting around Rome smooth and easy. We were also lucky that we happened to schedule our tour in the morning on a Rome holiday (June 29, 2026) so there was less traffic/people to navigate. It was hot, but every time we got back on the bikes we gave ourselves a breeze. Can't say enough good things about this tour - from booking to communication to the actual tour - it was a wonderful experience that we will always remember. (Note: Rome is a busy city so it is to your advantage to have at least some experience with e-bikes.) Highly recommend!! And we'll do it again if we're back in Rome! Thank you, Ilenia!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this fantastic and thoughtful review! 🚲✨ Ilenia was absolutely thrilled to read your kind words. She always strives to be patient, fun, and knowledgeable, and she loved guiding your intimate group through the city. You truly picked the perfect day! Cycling on June 29th, during the feast of Rome's patron saints, is a hidden secret—having the city more to yourselves with less traffic makes the ride incredibly smooth. And you are so right about the e-bikes: creating your own artificial breeze is the best way to beat the Roman summer heat! We also appreciate your great tip for future travelers regarding having a bit of cycling confidence in a busy city. Thank you for praising our communication and booking process; we can't wait to welcome you back for another memorable ride with Bicycle Roma!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much! We're thrilled you had so much fun discovering those hidden corners of Rome with us. Ilenia loves bringing the city's secret history to life with her passion and knowledge! We are so glad she made your tour amazing. See you next time! 🚲🏛️

Rome's Best by E-bike: Guided City Tour (Small Group or Private): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.

How much does Rome's Best by E-bike: Guided City Tour (Small Group or Private) cost?

+

Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Rome's Best by E-bike: Guided City Tour (Small Group or Private) take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.

Is Rome's Best by E-bike: Guided City Tour (Small Group or Private) worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 90 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 236 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Rome's Best by E-bike: Guided City Tour (Small Group or Private)?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Rome's Best by E-bike: Guided City Tour (Small Group or Private) suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Rome's Best by E-bike: Guided City Tour (Small Group or Private)?

+

Around 83 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Rome's Best by E-bike: Guided City Tour (Small Group or Private) start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rome?

+

Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rome?

+

April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rome?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
