We had the best time with Guido
Amazing day with our guide Guido, he picked us up in a very comfortable minivan and was very accommodating. He made two extra stops on the way to the first Villa showing us an amazing view of Rome. Guido is the best!

This trip was absolutely worth it. Having a more personal experience made a big difference and we never felt rushed at any point. The villas were stunning with its beautiful gardens and fountains and their rich history and vast ruins. Our guide was knowledgeable but also easygoing, which made the whole day feel relaxed. Everything was taken care of and we had a very enjoyable day.

Excellent
We did this day trip with our family of five including two small children and it turned out to be an amazing day. Our guide Louis drove us around in a new Mercedes with even massage seats, very comfortable!!!! It’s a little higher priced than some other day trips we’ve taken, but honestly the organization, service, and overall experience made it completely worth it
Response from the operator: Thank you, we really appreciate it! Glad you and your family had a great day and enjoyed the comfort of the tour.

Luxury tour
We loved visiting both villa's with our driver/ guide Manuel. Both places were beautiful and a must see when visiting Rome. The gardens and fountains were stunning, and walking through the ancient ruins was such a cool experience. We were picked up in a new Mercedes vehicle with tv screens in the back, very professional company and service.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! We're very happy to hear you loved visiting both villas and enjoyed the luxury and comfort of the day.

Exploring these ancient...
Exploring these ancient villas was by far the best part of our short stay in Rome. It really felt like we stepped back in time and everything from booking to pick up was very smoothly handled. We were also lucky to have such a nice guide who gave us a ton of tips for our stay in Rome. To me this is a must do when in Rome!
Response from the operator: Dear Barbara, Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed the tour with our guide Luis. Hope you had a great stay in Rome. Warm regards, Europe Prime Tours

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Rome: Private Day Trip To Tivoli Villa D'Este and Hadrian Villa: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.
How much does Rome: Private Day Trip To Tivoli Villa D'Este and Hadrian Villa cost?
+
Prices start at $180 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Rome: Private Day Trip To Tivoli Villa D'Este and Hadrian Villa take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.
Is Rome: Private Day Trip To Tivoli Villa D'Este and Hadrian Villa worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Rome: Private Day Trip To Tivoli Villa D'Este and Hadrian Villa?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Rome: Private Day Trip To Tivoli Villa D'Este and Hadrian Villa suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Rome: Private Day Trip To Tivoli Villa D'Este and Hadrian Villa?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Rome: Private Day Trip To Tivoli Villa D'Este and Hadrian Villa start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rome?
+
Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rome?
+
April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rome?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
