Great Experience!

This was an absolutely wonderful experience from first contact to the point of getting my pictures. Jeff and Sara were complete professionals , friendly, and accommodating. I highly suggest working with them. My pictures came out amazing and the cost was reasonable for the hour we had, which was plenty.

Beautiful Photos and Amazing Experience

From the moment we met Sara, she made us feel completely comfortable and excited for our photoshoot. She has an incredible eye for detail and knew exactly how to capture the beauty of Rome while making every photo feel natural, elegant, and full of emotion. Our session at the Colosseum was an unforgettable experience. Sara guided us effortlessly through poses while also capturing genuine moments between us, creating photos that tell the story of our time together. Her professionalism, patience, creativity, and warm personality made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. When we received the photos, we were absolutely speechless. Every image was beautifully composed, perfectly edited, and exceeded all of our expectations. She didn’t just take pictures—she captured memories that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. If you’re looking for a photographer in Rome, especially around the Colosseum, we cannot recommend Sara highly enough. She is incredibly talented, passionate about her work, and truly goes above and beyond to create something special. Thank you, Sara, for giving us such beautiful memories of one of the most magical places in the world. We will cherish these photos forever!

Better than Selfies

My family booked a "Private Colosseum Photoshoot with Local Photographer (Jeff)" in Rome. The photographer, the experience, and most importantly the pictures were great, highly recommended, far better than any selfie you can take on your own. The pictures were surprisingly intimate and private given the number of people around the Colosseum at any given moment.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was a pleasure photographing you and your family at the Colosseum. I’m especially happy that the photos felt intimate and private despite the crowds—that’s exactly what I aim to create. I hope these photos bring back beautiful memories of Rome for many years to come! Jeff

Amazing experience creating memories with my husband,

It was my husband 40th birthday so I wanted to do a photoshoot in Rome. I booked this with Jeff -Rome photographer through instagram. I also wanted extras such as a 40 birthday balloon. Jeff was very kind enough to make that happen and brought the balloon to the photoshoot day. Me and my husband felt really comfortable throughout the photo shoot. We did several different poses around the colosseum. He was truly a great experience. I would definitely recommend him, also the price was good for the photoshoot, very affordable.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for choosing me to capture such a special occasion—your husband’s 40th birthday in Rome! It was a pleasure arranging the birthday balloon and photographing you both around the Colosseum. I’m so happy that you felt comfortable and enjoyed the experience. Your kind words and recommendation truly mean a lot to me. Wishing you both many more beautiful memories together! Warm regards, Jeff

Rome: Private Colosseum Photoshoot with Local Photographer: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.

How much does Rome: Private Colosseum Photoshoot with Local Photographer cost?

+

Prices start at $21 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Rome: Private Colosseum Photoshoot with Local Photographer take?

+

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.

Is Rome: Private Colosseum Photoshoot with Local Photographer worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 87 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 150 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Rome: Private Colosseum Photoshoot with Local Photographer?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Rome: Private Colosseum Photoshoot with Local Photographer suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Rome: Private Colosseum Photoshoot with Local Photographer?

+

Around 53 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Rome: Private Colosseum Photoshoot with Local Photographer start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rome?

+

Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rome?

+

April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rome?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
