Trevi Fountain

The Spanish Steps is where you will find the famous 18th-century winding steps that connect the square below to the French church of Trinita dei Monti above. Countryside Precruise Tour to Civitavecchia with Michele
After spending a few days in Rome I was looking for a way to enjoy some of the Roman countryside before embarkation at Civitavecchia. This was the perfect way to start embarkation. Michele, our driver, arrived early. We began with a lakeside tour of a charming village. My husband and I enjoyed a caffe and cornetto before strolling along the shore. We the enjoyed a tour of Bracciano Castle before going to a small village at the top of a cliff. The views were amazing as we enjoyed a zero kilometer meal (farm to table) that was excellent. We arrived at the port with several hours to spare, however we avoided the hectic morning rush. The timing was impeccable, we walked through security, straight on to the ship, and to our room. Highly recommend for a charming start to your cruise.

Great tour company and driver
Driver was on time and car was well maintained and clean. Driver was friendly and very informative. He did a great job of planning out our day in a logical order and to decrease time spent sitting in traffic. He got us unbelievably close to each sight in Rome. We had a long day to see everything but we did not get exhausted because of the care our driver took getting us to the best places near each site. Would definitely use Stefano Rome Tours again. Very organized provider.

More than we expected!
Our driver Fabio was fantastic! He picked us up at the cruise port on time, dressed professionally and in a spotless, comfy car. On our way to Rome he talked about the places we would be seeing and answered all our questions enthusiastically with great detail. Each stop on the tour he drove us close to the site (which cut down on the walking time) and quickly picked us up when we were finished. Fabio also took us to some “off the beaten path” sites that were so awesome to see. Our daughter wanted some authentic Italian pizza for lunch and Fabio drove us to the best pizzeria we’ve ever visited! So delicious!! I highly recommend you book your Rome excursion with Stefano Tours. The price is great (better value than the cruise ship excursions) and you get to see SO MUCH MORE with a private driver!! We talked with a group from our ship that booked through the cruise company and they didn’t see EVEN HALF of what we saw, and they paid more!! Thanks for a memorable day Stefano Tours!
