My son (16) and I had a very nice experience. Our contact, Rose, did a fantastic job explaining how the equipment worked. The organization was very kind to call the day before to plan a reschedule since bad weather was predicted. This morning we received a whatsapp to ask if we would be still be up to do the experience. We were a bit early at the meeting point but our contact, Rose, dashed to meet us. Rose was happy and eager to help us and ensure that we would enjoy it.The experience with the vr glasses was very informative and especially the end was fun (no spoilers)😀

We were with Rose and she was lovely, a great experience. Altought it was in the street it's an original activity easy to enjoy and I'd recommend it to friends. Rose was really kind with us and helped me with everything I needed at the acticity.

Today, the Circus Maximus in Rome amounts to little more than a very large field and a few small ruins. Certainly a far cry from what it was in ancient Rome, a chariot racing stadium and entertainment venue recalled by the climactic chariot race in the 1959 epic movie "Ben-Hur" starring Charlton Heston. It once was the largest building for public entertainment in antiquity and one of the largest in history, much larger than the nearby Colosseum. It measured 2,037 feet long and 387 feet wide and accommodated 150,000 people, as many as 300,000 on some occasions. Aside from the more celebrated chariot races, it also hosted wild animal hunts, athletic events, processions and gladiatorial combats. The massive venue was divided down the middle by a 340-meter-long masonry spine with a pillar at each end to mark the turns. Located in the middle of the valley between the Aventine and Palatine hills, Circus Maximus was founded in the 6th century BC by Tarquinius Priscus, the fifth king of Rome. Horses raced there for 1,000 years. The last race was recorded in 550 AD. Damaged several times by fire, the Circus Maximus was almost completely rebuilt under Emperor Trajan and most of the structure visible today was built during his reign. The two large Egyptian obelisks that used to be on the site have been moved. Augustus' obelisk of Pharaoh Ramses 11 now stands in Plaza de Popolo and Constantine's obelisk of Thothmes 111 is next to the Basilica of St. John Laternan. Did you know that one charioteer raced for 24 years in the 2nd century AD, won 3,000 times with a two-horse chariot and 1,462 times with a four-horse chariot? When he retired, he had accumulated the fabulous sum of 35 million sesterces or $400 million in today's accounting. Clearly, the Lionel Messi or Le Bron James of his day.
