Beautiful morning trek (single female traveler)

Tushita was a great guide, she met me at the hotel and walked with me over the bridge to the taxi. Watched the sunrise from the temple and had a little breakfast. Hike down was steep and slippy, you needed a stick to help with balance and not falling over. Route took a winding small single track between villages with very few other people around. Definitely not a tourist route and not on any maps. Stunning views on the way down. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to escape the city for the morning and see the countryside. For the price it should come with a simple breakfast and snack, as well as return transport to your hotel at the end (these you pay for yourself).

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with Tushita as your guide. It sounds like you had a wonderful time exploring the area together. From meeting you at the hotel to accompanying you across the bridge and watching the sunrise from the temple, Tushita provided excellent service. It's great to hear that the hike down, although steep and slippery, offered breathtaking views. The fact that the route was off the beaten path and not frequented by many tourists added to the charm of the experience. It truly allowed you to immerse yourself in the countryside and escape the city for a morning. Your suggestion regarding the inclusion of a simple breakfast and snack, as well as the provision of return transport to the hotel at the end, is valuable feedback. While these additional amenities may not be included in the tour price, you have the option to arrange and pay for them separately. Thank you once again for highly recommending this tour to others seeking a countryside retreat. It sounds like a memorable and rewarding experience. Best regards, Om

Really great day trip from Rishikesh

I booked this trip to get out of Rishikesh for the day and get a glimpse of the higher Himalayas, and it was really great and very well organised. I was collected at 5.30am and we got to the temple in time for a beautiful sunrise and view of the snow capped Himalayas and source of the Ganga. And then the trek down was wonderful, a really peaceful walk through small, friendly villages, and not too challenging! The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. I’d highly recommend this trip.

How much does Rishikesh: Kunjapuri Sunrise Downhill Trek & Neer Waterfall cost?

    +

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rishikesh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Rishikesh: Kunjapuri Sunrise Downhill Trek & Neer Waterfall take?

Is Rishikesh: Kunjapuri Sunrise Downhill Trek & Neer Waterfall worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rishikesh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Rishikesh: Kunjapuri Sunrise Downhill Trek & Neer Waterfall?

How far in advance should I book Rishikesh: Kunjapuri Sunrise Downhill Trek & Neer Waterfall?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rishikesh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rishikesh and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Rishikesh: Kunjapuri Sunrise Downhill Trek & Neer Waterfall start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rishikesh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rishikesh?

    +

On Outty we rank every Rishikesh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Rafting in Rishikesh - 26 Km., Har Ki dun Trek by Himalaya Shelter, Private 6-Day Golden Triangle Tour: Delhi, Agra, Jaipur by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rishikesh?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rishikesh?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
