What you'll see and do
Tijuca
Forget the postcard Rio. No beaches, no clichés, no tourist traps. Just Tijuca, good food, cold drinks and the Rio that locals actually know. This is a private experience, but not a private tour: we’ll have up to 4 people, and even if you’re the only guest, we go ahead. No minimum group required. We’ll meet at Exit C of Uruguai Metro Station and start the Brazilian way: coffee and something sweet at either Diana Bakery or BelliItalia. Then we’ll wander through Tijuca to Xavier da Silveira Square, stopping at two neighborhood bars that have that unmistakable carioca soul — simple, lively and full of stories. And because every good Rio experience needs a proper finale, we’ll finish at Momo, one of the city’s most celebrated botecos, with its legendary rice fritter stuffed with calabresa sausage and three cheeses. Come hungry. Leave with a taste of the real Rio. Rio isn’t just about the beach. It’s sidewalks, iconic bar glasses and seriously good boteco food.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rio de Janeiro?
+
