Beautiful views !! 10/10

I really enjoyed this ! Beautiful view of Brazil ! We got headphones for the noise and I felt like the co pilot lol! I enjoyed this , was worth my money I wish I paid for longer !! Definitely recommend!

Quick. Gorgeous view. Safety checks by staff!

The helicopter ride was excellent! My friends and I were paired with a couple who were very friendly. However, the pilot wasn’t as interactive as we thought he would be. The staff did answer my questions about the safety checks they perform as well as how long the establishment has been running. The sites we flew by were absolutely beautiful. Specifically Christ the Redeemer! You can see the majority of Rio and the duration of the ride is accurate around 7-8min. This was also my first helicopter ride!

Response from the operator: Jada! Thank you for your feedback! Because the airport is very close to our helipads, pilots need to be extremely attentive to ensure a wonderful flight!

Has to be done

What a great experience. Seeing Rio, the beach and Christ the Redeemer from height was jaw dropping. Well priced and comfy helicopter.

Response from the operator: Sandy Thank you for your feedback, and we are very happy to be able to provide you with the joy of seeing Rio in all its beauty!

You can get longer for...

You can get longer for the same price with other companies, I was 25 minutes late going up it literally flew around Christ the redeemer and back down , shop around you can get more for your money , also while we were waiting we were not updated or offered a bottle of water just sat wondering so i would not recommend unfortunately

Response from the operator: Nicola, Good morning! We have a fare schedule with 8 different options, with varying times and prices to suit all passengers!

Do not book this!!

The worse helicopter ride ever, they texted me 20 mins early as if I was late and I was 2 minutes away. They said nothing about starting early or late or anything. They decided to start 30 minutes late. During this time the front desk guy did not communicate to me and my friend nor the other person getting on the helicopter with us. No sorry, no ETA, nothing at all. Due to starting 30 minutes late clouds started to appear by Christ the redeemer so we were barely able to see it, during the scheduled start time it was clear skies! So pretty much wasted our money, ALSO no hello or anything from the pilot who was on his phone while flying at one point. Every worker had the head pieces to cover their ears including workers just walking towards the helicopter to lead us yet the customers were not given any, my ears were ringing the next 2 days. I can’t believe this was legal.

Response from the operator: Good morning! We regret what happened. Our service is provided on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 9 am, so there are no attempts to rush customers. They can arrive within our operating hours (9 am to 6 pm) whenever is most convenient for them.

Rio de Janeiro Helicopter Tour - Christ the Redeemer: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rio de Janeiro.

How much does Rio de Janeiro Helicopter Tour - Christ the Redeemer cost?

+

Prices start at $250 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rio de Janeiro usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Rio de Janeiro Helicopter Tour - Christ the Redeemer take?

+

Plan for about 0.1 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rio de Janeiro is not rushed.

Is Rio de Janeiro Helicopter Tour - Christ the Redeemer worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 655 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rio de Janeiro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Rio de Janeiro Helicopter Tour - Christ the Redeemer?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Rio de Janeiro Helicopter Tour - Christ the Redeemer suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Rio de Janeiro Helicopter Tour - Christ the Redeemer?

+

Around 229 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rio de Janeiro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rio de Janeiro and add a light layer if any part of the 0.1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Rio de Janeiro Helicopter Tour - Christ the Redeemer start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rio de Janeiro within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rio de Janeiro?

+

On Outty we rank every Rio de Janeiro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rio's Full Day: Selarón Steps, Christ & Sugarloaf – Tickets & Lunch Included, Rio: Tijuca Rainforest Hike, Wildlife, Waterfalls & Caves, Explore the Best of Tijuca Forest – Hike to Peaks, Caves & Falls. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rio de Janeiro?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rio de Janeiro?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
