Great night time snacks!
Filipe was an amazing host! He went above and beyond by showing us some incredible local nighttime snack spots and recommending great places for after-hours eats. He also gave us fantastic tips on where to grab great beers around Lapa. While Bob’s Burgers wasn’t on his official recommendation list, his casual tip turned out to be a lifesaver when we needed a 3 AM bite! Highly recommend staying with Filipe if you want an authentic, local experience.

Giovanna was our guide and she was delightful. She was friendly, knowledgeable and great fun to be around. The food and drinks were delicious but watch out for the cachaca - rocket fuel! Thoroughly recommend this tour.

Filling and Fun Food tour...
My family and I had a wonderful time with Giovana. The meeting point was easy to find and the others in our group became fast friends. Giovana showed us streets we would have never seen otherwise and talked to us about the experience of nightlife. The food was excellent; she frequently pronounced the items for us so we were able to recognize the food we had the rest of our visit to Rio. Filling and fun!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re delighted that you and your family had such a great time exploring Rio with Giovana. It’s fantastic to hear that you enjoyed discovering streets you might not have found on your own, learning about the local nightlife, and trying so much delicious food along the way. We especially love that Giovana helped you recognize and pronounce the dishes so you could enjoy them again during the rest of your trip. Thank you for joining Foodprint Tours!

We had an absolutely...
We had an absolutely amazing experience on our food tour, and so much of that was because of our guide, Filipe! He was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and made the entire experience fun and engaging. His English was excellent, which was such a breath of fresh air for us Americans traveling in Brazil. 😍 Filipe did an amazing job explaining not only the food, but also the culture and history behind what we were experiencing. He was patient with all of our questions and, even after the tour, followed up with us to answer additional questions we had. That level of care really stood out! We left the tour feeling like we had experienced so much more than just great food—we learned, laughed, and got a genuine taste of Brazil. We would absolutely recommend this tour, and especially Filipe, to anyone visiting Rio. Ask for Filipe—you won’t be disappointed! 🇧🇷❤️🍽️
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you had such a memorable experience in Rio with Filipe. It’s especially lovely to hear how much you appreciated the stories, history, and culture behind the food, as this is exactly what we hope our tours offer beyond the tastings themselves. We’ll definitely pass your kind words on to Filipe—he’ll be so happy to know that his knowledge, patience, and care made such an impression. Thank you again for joining us and for recommending the experience so warmly. We hope to welcome you on another Foodprint tour somewhere else in the world one day!

Rio Autumn Lapa & Centro Street Food & Spirits Walk: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rio de Janeiro.
How much does Rio Autumn Lapa & Centro Street Food & Spirits Walk cost?
+
Prices start at €41 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rio de Janeiro usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Rio Autumn Lapa & Centro Street Food & Spirits Walk take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rio de Janeiro is not rushed.
Is Rio Autumn Lapa & Centro Street Food & Spirits Walk worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rio de Janeiro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Rio Autumn Lapa & Centro Street Food & Spirits Walk?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Rio Autumn Lapa & Centro Street Food & Spirits Walk suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Rio Autumn Lapa & Centro Street Food & Spirits Walk?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rio de Janeiro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rio de Janeiro and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Rio Autumn Lapa & Centro Street Food & Spirits Walk start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rio de Janeiro within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rio de Janeiro?
+
On Outty we rank every Rio de Janeiro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pedra da Gávea hike, your best experience in Rio, Favela Tour Rio de Janeiro - Vidigal Walking Tour by Russo Guide, Rio's Full Day: Selarón Steps, Christ & Sugarloaf – Tickets & Lunch Included. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rio de Janeiro?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rio de Janeiro?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
