    Fabulous day activity

Loved that we had a small group of 7. For the snowmobiling, we were appropriately dressed at the site to weather the cold. The snowmobile guide was quick to assist if anyone needed help. So I felt totally safe. Our tour driver was great but needed a microphone as the people in the back of the van could not hear him. Loved the sites that we visited and appreciated the "lunch" break even if it wasn't on the itinerary.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are delighted to hear you enjoyed the intimacy of a small 7-person group and that you felt safe, warm, and well taken care of by our snowmobile guides out on the ice. We always try to sneak in those extra comfort breaks for our guests, so we are glad you appreciated the surprise lunch stop! We also really appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the van acoustics. We want every single guest to hear our driver's stories clearly, so we are looking into adding a microphone system for the back rows immediately. Thank you for helping us improve, and we hope to welcome you back for another great adventure soon!

    Loved snowmobiling!

Snowmobiling on the glacier was amazing! I wish the tour was just focused on snowmobiling and skipped the tourist spots. It wasn't super clear who was picking us up, in what vehicle, nor was it clear if/when we would get food. Thankfully I read reviews that said bring snacks - definitely bring snacks!! You don't get a chance to eat until pretty late in the day.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you found the snowmobiling on the glacier amazing—it truly is an unforgettable experience! We really appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the tour structure and communication. We want the entire day to be seamless, so your notes about the pickup details, vehicle clarity, and meal timing are incredibly helpful. We are currently updating our pre-arrival information emails to ensure vehicle descriptions, operator names, and explicit advice about bringing snacks are much clearer for future guests. We also hear you on wanting a tour entirely focused on the ice! While our current itineraries combine the glacier with iconic sightseeing stops, we do offer express and direct snowmobile tours for those who want to maximize their time on the snow. We would love to have you back for one of those direct adventures in the future!

    Best first timer experience

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was my very first time snowmobiling, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better guide than Jon Thor! What stood out immediately was his patience. He never made anyone feel rushed or nervous — and with a group ranging from 14 to 63 years old, that was no small feat! He made sure every single person, regardless of age or experience, felt comfortable and confident before we set off. Jon's detailed explanations were a game changer for me personally. As a first-timer, I had no idea what to expect, but his clear, step-by-step instructions gave me the confidence I needed to actually enjoy the ride rather than worry about it. By the time we hit the snow, I felt completely prepared. He has a natural ability to connect with people of all ages and skill levels, making the experience fun and inclusive for everyone in the group. It truly felt like no one was left behind. If you're thinking about snowmobiling — especially for the first time — Jon Thor is exactly the kind of guide you want leading the way. Patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely dedicated to making sure everyone has an amazing time. Absolutely unforgettable!

Response from the operator: Hello Thank you so much for this incredible review! We are absolutely thrilled that your first snowmobiling experience was so unforgettable. Jon Thor is a fantastic guide, and we are so proud of his ability to make guests of all ages and experience levels feel safe, confident, and included. It is wonderful to hear that his step-by-step instructions helped you fully enjoy the ride. We will be sure to pass your kind words along to him—he will be delighted to hear them! We hope to welcome you back for another ride on the snow soon. Best regards, Einar Mountaineers

Reykjavik: Golden Circle Guided Super-Jeep Tour and Snowmobiling: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.

How much does Reykjavik: Golden Circle Guided Super-Jeep Tour and Snowmobiling cost?

    +

Prices start at $264 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Reykjavik: Golden Circle Guided Super-Jeep Tour and Snowmobiling take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.

Is Reykjavik: Golden Circle Guided Super-Jeep Tour and Snowmobiling worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 280 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Reykjavik: Golden Circle Guided Super-Jeep Tour and Snowmobiling?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Reykjavik: Golden Circle Guided Super-Jeep Tour and Snowmobiling suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Reykjavik: Golden Circle Guided Super-Jeep Tour and Snowmobiling?

    +

Around 98 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Reykjavik: Golden Circle Guided Super-Jeep Tour and Snowmobiling start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?

    +

On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Reykjavik?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
