The best way to do Scenic tour!

Very safe and our guide Steve was patient and explained the car + historic details through walkie talkie. He took pics and also recommended restaurants (sent to our phones at end of tour). May do again because its much better than walking or hiking in this heat! 96 degrees and get cool breeze through sunroof. The cars decent speed 20-35 mph and quiet auto steering! Loved it! Must get there atleast 15 minutes early incase traffic. The first person gets to pick color car.

A Must-Do Experience in Nice – Brilliant Guide and Great Fun!

If you're in Nice, this is an absolute must-do. We had a fantastic time on the Retro Electric Topolino Ride along the French Riviera, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, our guide, Steve, was absolutely brilliant. He gave us a warm welcome and, from start to finish, was exceptionally friendly, helpful and informative. Before setting off, he explained everything we needed to know about driving the FIAT Topolinos. The cars were incredibly easy to drive, and within a couple of minutes we felt completely at ease. Steve drove the lead car while the rest of us followed in four Topolinos. Every car was equipped with a walkie-talkie, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable and reassuring. The group size was just right. It was small enough to feel personal and relaxed, while still having a lovely atmosphere as we made our way along the coast. Throughout the tour, Steve kept us updated with clear instructions, letting us know well in advance about upcoming junctions, who had right of way, and if there were any cars or pedestrians to watch out for. While we were driving, Steve also shared lots of interesting history and information about the areas we were passing through, which really added to the experience and gave us a greater appreciation of the beautiful surroundings. We got separated from the lead car on two occasions, but there was never the slightest bit of panic. Steve kept everyone informed over the walkie-talkies and simply pulled in a short distance ahead to wait for us to catch up. The whole tour was relaxed, well organised and completely stress-free. It was also my first time driving on the right-hand side of the road, and I couldn't believe how easy it was. Thanks to Steve's calm guidance and clear instructions, it was an absolute breeze. If you're hesitant about driving on the opposite side of the road, don't be. It's nowhere near as daunting as you might think. Our first stop was at Fort du Mont Alban, where we had spectacular views overlooking Villefranche-sur-Mer and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. We had plenty of time to soak up the scenery, take photos and enjoy the views. Steve was more than happy to take photos for everyone and also shared some fascinating history and information about Villefranche-sur-Mer and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. We then drove a couple of hundred metres further down the road to a more suitable setting for photographs while we were in the Topolinos. Steve took some fantastic photos of us, making sure we had great memories of the experience. We then continued our drive through the beautiful streets of Villefranche-sur-Mer and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat before making our way back towards Nice. Along the way, we stopped at another fantastic viewpoint overlooking the Rade de Villefranche-sur-Mer, where we had another chance to admire the scenery, take photos and enjoy the views. Before long, we were back at our starting point in Nice, wondering where the time had gone. Overall, this was excellent value for money and an experience we'd highly recommend to anyone visiting Nice. The scenery was breathtaking, the Topolinos were great fun to drive, and Steve was an exceptional guide who made the whole experience enjoyable, informative and completely stress-free. We'd happily do it all over again.

Retro Electric Topolino Ride on the French Riviera: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nice.

How much does Retro Electric Topolino Ride on the French Riviera cost?

    +

Prices start at $71 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Retro Electric Topolino Ride on the French Riviera take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nice is not rushed.

Is Retro Electric Topolino Ride on the French Riviera worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 73 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Nice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Retro Electric Topolino Ride on the French Riviera?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Retro Electric Topolino Ride on the French Riviera suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Retro Electric Topolino Ride on the French Riviera?

    +

Around 26 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nice and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Retro Electric Topolino Ride on the French Riviera start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Nice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include ★ Walking Tour of Old Nice and Castle Hill, NO DIET CLUB - Unique Local Food in Nice !, Nice City Segway Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
