What you'll see and do
On the way to the plaster reservoir, we made a stop to have breakfast in local stalls *, and walked around the town. In return from El Yeso Reservoir, we stopped at a restaurant to choose for lunch.

Embalse El Yeso
The great attraction of this whole region is the plaster reservoir, a large water reserve surrounded by the Andes, giant dam at the foot of the mountain range with a shade that ranges from emerald green to turquoise depending on the season. The gypsum reservoir is fed by the gypsum river, one of the tributaries of the Maipo river and was built to supply Santiago with water, today being its main reservoir. In addition, very close to El Yeso Reservoir, you will find the El Plomo Hot Springs, an ideal place to relax with a pleasant thermal bath and then visit the place and admire the beautiful flora and fauna of the surroundings. On the way back to Santiago, there will be time for lunch in a typical mountain restaurant.
