Williamson Square
Williamson Square is the starting point of the tour. Here guests will see one of the first squares in the city, which is home to one of Liverpool's major film locations as well as numerous other cultural sights - including the Williamson Square Fountain.

Eleanor Rigby Statue
Whilst on Stanley Street, guests will see two important filming locations in the city and directly next to one of them, is one of Liverpool's first statues, dedicated to The Beatles, which is the Eleanor Rigby statue. Guests will learn of the hidden history of the statue as well as that of the two film locations which are merely yards away.

The Cavern Club
During the tour, we take a stroll down Mathew Street where you will see the exterior of the world-famous Cavern Club. Bookers will learn the history of the street along with information regarding the many popular musicians who have played in the venue over the years. The street has also featured in numerous film & TV shows over the years, so you will learn all about these and although we don't go inside the actual club, photographs are shown to give you an idea of what it was like inside back in the 1960s.

Castle Street is synonymous with film. Three major motion pictures have all been filmed on the street. Guests will hear about the making of these movies and how they were represented on the silver screen as well as taking in some of the wonderful views of Liverpool Town Hall and also the Queen Victoria monument. On the banks of the wonderful River Mersey, you will be able to take in the spectacular views of the "Three Graces" of Liverpool. The Port of Liverpool, The Cunard and the Royal Liver Building - arguably the three most iconic buildings in the city. A great Movie Day
Excellent tour of Liverpool. Our guide Gary was well informed, interesting to listen to, clear and loud enough with some lovely humour thrown in. I saw Liverpool with fresh eyes and can’t wait to start on Gary’s list.

Fab tour of Liverpool movie locations
Gary Lunt is a great guide, very enthusiastic, entertaining and funny. He knows Liverpool and his movie history inside out. The two hour tour with several stops at important movie locations in the centre of Liverpool was perfect for our group of 70 year olds. Liverpool has been used for movies for decades and is still being used for filming on a regular basis. On the day of our tour, the Beatles films by Sam Mendes were being filmed again outside the former Liverpool Institute where Paul and George were grammar school boys. This was too far from the centre of Liverpool to include on our walking tour but Gary gave us some of the inside info and lots more details about the Beatles and filming around Matthew Street and Castle Street. If you live in the area or are visiting Liverpool and are interested in the movies at all, don’t miss this superlative tour.

Great way to see the city. Films will never be the same again
Gary was enthusiastic, entertaining and knowledgeable.. 11am was just the right timing for our first morning in Liverpool, following a Whetherspoons breakfast nearby the meeting spot. It's a great way to "place" yourself and learn more about the city before making your way around yourself. Whether you are a film buff or not, you'll learn something and enjoy it.
