    Potentially a scam?

We got into the venue, which was very busy and not particularly interesting or good value for money. No chance of the canal trip we booked as there wasn’t anyone from the business available. All in all a waste of money, better to keep it in your pocket. We won’t engage again.

    Horrible

Horrible l didn’t even get to experience the excursions. How can I get my money back? The tour guide person never met me

Response from the operator: Dear Odessa, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. The reservation is for the entrance tickets for the Red Light Secret museum and tickets for the canal cruise ride, it is not a guided tour. All the information is mentioned on the tickets. We hope that you could still visit the place and had a lovely time! kind regards, Tours&Tickets

    Great combo

The locations was fairly easy to find. Staff were helpful. The canal cruise was very informative and romantic. Definitely will return with my future boyfriend The Red Light District Museum was very interesting and insightful to learn about the history and how a day in the life of a Red Light District worker can be. Changes there perspective of sex workers for sure

Response from the operator: Dear Melissa, Thank you for your kind review. We are honestly happy to read you had such a lovely experience with us. Hope to see you again in the future. Kindest regards, Tours&Tickets

    Not special

The staff at the red light museum were quite unfriendly. It all had to happen quickly. While it wasn't busy at all. The museum was nothing special. The boat trip was fun to do. For lovers, the tour (info) is given through earphones. Is impersonal and quickly becomes boring. More fun if a guide narrates live. The arrangement was also not completely clear. We started with a visit to the museum because this was passed on to us. When we arrived at the boat trip, our time slot was 'supposedly' already over. But this was the starting point of the museum visit. No clear information received.

    Worth the 14 euro

Very interesting to read the signs and listen to the audio and see what it takes to be a prostitute and also the laws there surrounding them. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed it, defo one to put on the list when in amsterdam....staff really friendly too

Response from the operator: Dear Lorraine, We are so happy to read that you joined the cruise and visited the museum! Thank you for your review! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience. We hope to welcome you again in the future! Kind regards, Tours&Tickets

Red Light Secrets Museum Amsterdam & 1-Hour Canal Cruise: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.

How much does Red Light Secrets Museum Amsterdam & 1-Hour Canal Cruise cost?

    +

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Red Light Secrets Museum Amsterdam & 1-Hour Canal Cruise take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.

Is Red Light Secrets Museum Amsterdam & 1-Hour Canal Cruise worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (2.9/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Red Light Secrets Museum Amsterdam & 1-Hour Canal Cruise?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Red Light Secrets Museum Amsterdam & 1-Hour Canal Cruise suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Red Light Secrets Museum Amsterdam & 1-Hour Canal Cruise?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Red Light Secrets Museum Amsterdam & 1-Hour Canal Cruise start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?

    +

On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amsterdam?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
