An Authentic tour of Hoi An
A most recommended tour in places with no other tourists, so authentic. Watching locals produce traditional products like rice noodles and fish sauce, in the country side of Hoi An. The guide was very professional and kind. We got to taste so much local goods.

Unique experience worth spending your afternoon for
As a first-time visitor to Hoi An, we really enjoyed this scooter tour with the lovely Angiee team. Big shoutout to our tour guides Lam and Anh Thinh, who were incredibly friendly and proactive. I really enjoyed the pride they had for their culture and for life at Hoi An. The activities and the overall experience gave us a better appreciation of daily life for rural villages in Hoi An, outside of what we'd seen in the Ancient Town (which is more modern and built more around tourism). I also like that the activities on this tour are things we would not have gotten to experience if we'd simply ridden around ourselves, or tried to DIY it. The chance to see/experience non-industrial fish sauce making, rice-wine making, mat weaving, and even rice-noodle making was quite unique, coupled with the chance to interact with welcoming locals willing to open their homes to us. I came away with a better understanding not only of culture, but the importance of traditions/practices that are still alive today. In terms of logistics, I would say the tour is a good length as well, and allows you to go at a pace that isn't too rushed. I also really enjoyed that we rode through both the city and rice paddies, and got to capture some amazing views that you'd often overlook if you were just touring via a car or coaster. Value for money was also there, as this was also quite affordable. Finally, I'd also rate this highly for convenience since they pick you up and take you back to your hotels directly. If I were to make any suggestions for improvement, it would just be to add more content/information at each stop (e.g. history, etc.) and more interactivity.

Highlight of our Trip in Hoi An
This was above and beyond what I expected - the best part of our trip. We got to meet incredible locals who showed us a peek into their daily life. It was a tour created with heart and Harry made it comfortable for us as well as the kids. The tour felt personal, intimate and showed you an area of Hoi An you would have never known, the kindness of the locals - forever grateful to have crossed paths and explored this side of the town.

A truly wonderful experience in Hoi An. Don't Miss!
We spent 3 weeks in Vietnam participating in numerous tours and this by far was our favorite. From the start Harry and Kiwi were very communicative providing upfront information, asking our preferences and making suggestions. We were traveling with our children and they made sure to include some animal experiences to engage them – feeding ducks and riding a water buffalo! Some of our group was hesitant about riding the scooters, but once up and moving about the countryside everyone absolutely loved it. It was by far one of the best modes of transportation we tried on the trip. The mobility of the scooters allowed us to traverse small paths with scents of rice and flowers in the air, as well the flexibility to stop at random – one point grabbing a morning coffee. We were a group of 7 and all our scooter drives were very friendly and drove in a very safe manner. The best part was the various people we met throughout the day. Everyone welcomed us warmly into their homes, making us feel not like tourists but like friends. They humored our poor noodle making skills and cheered our success at mat weaving. I highly recommend taking this tour, learning about the people that live in the region and really experiencing aspects of their culture and life. Harry was a fantastic guide through all of it, making us feel welcomed and had us laughing a lot. At the end of our day we were sent lots of amazing photos and videos of our day. Thank you Angiee Adventures for a wonderful day in Hoi An! Every moment was as advertised; authentic, local and heartfelt.

Rural Hoi An - BEST authentic local experience, can’t recommend it enough ♥️🇻🇳✨
This experience truly made my whole Vietnam trip. As a documentary filmmaker, I was looking for an authentic, off the beaten path kind of thing, and this one exceeded our expectations. Specially the love and care Vu and his team put into every monet, making sure you enjoy and explore as a local, with all the generosity and best attitude always. It’s so refreshing to see a part of the world that doesn’t treat you like a wallet like most touristy places. I can’t recommend it enough and will be grateful forever for this, do not miss it when in Hoi An!

Real Rural Hoi An Scooter Tour: Villages & Local Crafts: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hoi An.
How much does Real Rural Hoi An Scooter Tour: Villages & Local Crafts cost?
+
Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hoi An usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Real Rural Hoi An Scooter Tour: Villages & Local Crafts take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hoi An is not rushed.
Is Real Rural Hoi An Scooter Tour: Villages & Local Crafts worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 118 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Real Rural Hoi An Scooter Tour: Villages & Local Crafts?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Real Rural Hoi An Scooter Tour: Villages & Local Crafts suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Real Rural Hoi An Scooter Tour: Villages & Local Crafts?
+
Around 41 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Real Rural Hoi An Scooter Tour: Villages & Local Crafts start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hoi An within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hoi An?
+
On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hoi An?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hoi An?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
