    About this experience

Naples is: 'a pizza. The true soul of the city known and replicated by all, is able to transfer the feeling of a land and its people to the world. The Neapolitan pizza, with a soft and thin dough, but with high edges, is the version of the round pizza prepared in the city of Naples. An art handed down for hundreds of years and declared intangible heritage of humanity by Unesco. Pizzaiolo for a day, a unique experience to knead, season, and bake your pizza that only in the city of pizza can you fully experience.

The REAL Neapolitan pizza making experience. Wow!

My partner and I have been making pizza at home every week since the pandemic and this gave us the opportunity to learn directly from the master pizza makers at Pizzeria Trianon, including a personal course with the owner of the restaurant. We wanted a REAL pizza making experience and not one of those family-friendly classes that was more for entertainment than actually learning how to make true Neapolitan pizza. We were given instruction from beginning (making the dough) to the end (how to launch the pizza in the wood oven and turning it). Alessandro was a great host and translator and although all the pizza masters only spoke Italian, we didn't have any problems understanding the process with Alessandro's translations. I couldn't recommend this class enough and it is definitely worth the extra cost compared to the other cheaper classes because this really is the authentic experience and you really do feel like a pizza chef for a day.

Response from the operator: Dear Mark, thank you for your words. I am happy you have appreciated our experience. That's exactly what I am trying to convey: make you live like a local through fun and interesting experiences. thank you. I hope to see you again. Alessandro

Do not hesitate - excellent authentic experience

We had the most amazing time. As novice pizza makers we wanted to see how the real Italians do it and my word, it was a special few hours. Alessandro was a fabulous host and Giuseppe the pizzeria owner who is 4th generation owner, was warm and welcoming. From the small touch of the gift of a special apron to the coffee on arrival, wine with our pizza and lovely ice cream desert. Nothing was any trouble. This trip was faultless. The tour is for no more than 8 people, we were the only 2 on the day. We were made to feel so welcome and special. Do not hesitate to book it, you won’t be disappointed!!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.

How much does Real Neapolitan Pizza Class in a Historic Pizzeria cost?

    +

Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Real Neapolitan Pizza Class in a Historic Pizzeria take?

    +

Plan for about 2.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.

Is Real Neapolitan Pizza Class in a Historic Pizzeria worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Real Neapolitan Pizza Class in a Historic Pizzeria?

    +

Is Real Neapolitan Pizza Class in a Historic Pizzeria suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Real Neapolitan Pizza Class in a Historic Pizzeria?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 2.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Real Neapolitan Pizza Class in a Historic Pizzeria start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Naples?

    +

On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Naples?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Naples?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
