delicious cooking
Cooking with Rathika was delicious and interesting. First the great tour of the market and a fantastic Asian breakfast. Later we learned a lot about herbs and different kinds of rice. Cooking together was great. Thanks for the warmhearted hospitality and that you made us feel welcome in your home.

Cooking Class and Wet Market Tour
I had such a great time with Rathika during this cooking class. She tailored the menu to my dietary restrictions which was so thoughtful. She was really knowledgeable and it felt like hanging out with an old friend! I highly recommend!

Amazing experience
Spending the day with Rathika was one of the highlights of my trip! She is incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming, and you can tell how passionate she is about sharing her culture and cuisine 🧑🍳 She really took the time to explain every step, shared helpful cooking tips, and made sure I understood how to prepare each dish, and why certain techniques and ingredients are used. It felt like cooking with a friend rather than taking a class!🫶🏼 Well, this half day was such a fun, authentic, and enriching experience that I’ll remember long after my trip. I left with amazing & delicious recipes and new cooking skills. The food was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t recommend this experience more, it’s 110% worth it! Thank you, Rathika, for such a wonderful day 🫶🇲🇾

Amazing Experience with Rathika!
We loved our cooking class with Rathika. She arranged an evening class for us as we only had 1 night left in Penang with a tour of the market and some local tastings. Her and her husband welcomed us into their home which was so special and the cooking class was brilliant. Rathika really knew her stuff and any questions we had about Malay or any other cuisine she answered! For an authentic and special experience in Penang don’t hesitate to get in touch with Rathika!

Amazing Cooking Lesson!
Rathika did an excellent job walking us through the local wet market and picking out ingredients to make a traditional briani dish. Her class was well structured and taught us the traditional method of preparing the dish including using her grinder that was handed down to her by 3 generations! We loved the food and the experience, would absolutely recommend!
