    About this experience

Rastafari is rightly associated with Jamaica, for the religion was born here in the 1930s. Rastafari is an Abrahamic faith that adheres to much of The Bible, though Rastafaris worship Haile Selassie I, former emperor of Ethiopia. Arguably the best-known Rastafari is the late Bob Marley. The international star introduced much of the world to the tenets of Rastafari, including the smoking of ganja (marijuana), which the Rasta consider a spiritual act. Not worth the money.

When we arrived it seemed pleasant enough. Then a man takes us to the water tells us a little story then tells us we can't cross the river to their little home village. They no longer do that part of the tour. Yet they advertise they do. They don't want any pictures taken of them unless they are standing in the picture with you. They advertise that they hand make there jewelry well what they mean is they have some rocks at the river you can pick up and his daughter can wrap it in some DIY wire and rope for you. As for the jewelry they claim they make its also the same jewelry at the ports. So not hand crafted one of a kind. The food they served was a small child portion yet delicious. The bus ride there and back was a little on the scary side. However on the way back your tour guide is going to bring you to an over priced souvenir shop that he will say is cheaper then at port.. That would be fauls information to all tourest.

Response from the operator: Hey darlenej370, This service wasn't provided by Road Travel Jamaica nor we affiliated with the said company we only provide private transportation, we always provide substantial service to ensure all customers are extremely satisfied, as such we sympathize on your experience stay safe and thank you for choosing Jamaica🇯🇲 as your travel destination of choice. great ride and lunch, book with them

Transportation was comfortable and on time for pickup and dropoff rides. Andrae and Philip were great to talk to. Took us to a great restaurant on the hill after visiting the village and had best curry goat of my life. They picked us up to take us to the airport too.

    Reliable and friendly driver!

We had fun and enjoyable ride to the Rastafari village. Roxy our driver also drove us through the city of Montego Bay and was very accommodating to what we wanted to see. She also was able to come back and pick us up after the tour on time.

Rastafari Indigenous Village Tour Transportation [Entry Not included]: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Montego Bay.

How much does Rastafari Indigenous Village Tour Transportation [Entry Not included] cost?

    +

Prices start at $36 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Montego Bay usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Rastafari Indigenous Village Tour Transportation [Entry Not included] take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Montego Bay is not rushed.

Is Rastafari Indigenous Village Tour Transportation [Entry Not included] worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Montego Bay, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Rastafari Indigenous Village Tour Transportation [Entry Not included]?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Rastafari Indigenous Village Tour Transportation [Entry Not included] suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Rastafari Indigenous Village Tour Transportation [Entry Not included]?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Montego Bay can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Montego Bay and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Rastafari Indigenous Village Tour Transportation [Entry Not included] start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Montego Bay within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Montego Bay?

    +

On Outty we rank every Montego Bay experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Montego Bay Airport Transfer to Negril, Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls Private Tour from Montego Bay, Appleton Estate Admission Ticket & Distillery Tour with Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Montego Bay?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Montego Bay?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
