Never again

I made two arrangements. One to the airport to the hotel. Never showed or called. The second on from the hotel to airport called do late, I made more reliable arrangements to get me there. The chat feature is worthless.

Response from the operator: Dear Denisse, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. You were traveling with Mr. Robert, who also posted a review, and we would like to clarify the situation. Your booking was made one day in advance and during the weekend, when our office is closed. We reviewed your email later that evening and contacted you as soon as possible. As several hours had passed without contact, you decided to arrange a taxi directly at the hotel front desk. When we spoke, we informed you that we were still able to provide the transportation for the following day; however, you kindly declined, mentioning that you had already arranged alternative transport and that it was not a problem. Although you did not request a refund, as a gesture of transparency and goodwill, we personally requested Viator to process a full refund for your booking. We sincerely apologize for the frustration this situation caused. We acknowledge that our communication timing did not meet your expectations, and we are already taking steps to ensure earlier and clearer contact with our clients in the future. Thank you again for your comments. Best regards, Ecuador Local Guide Team

Horrible Service - Almost Missed a Flight

This is very unreliable operator and I strongly recommend booking with them. I booked days before we needed the transfer from hotel to airport and never heard anything back to confirm the booking or pickup time and place. I spent the whole day trying to get in touch with them, but nobody answered my messages. I tried asking Viator for help but they were not able to help me or reach the operator. Finally at 7pm someone called me asking why I had complained to Viator. By then I booked with another service so I would not miss my flight at 6.30am the next morning. Dealing with Viator was very frustrating, they would not help me at all and are refusing to give me a refund.

Response from the operator: Dear Robert, Thank you for sharing your feedback. You mentioned that you tried to contact us several times; however, we carefully checked our records and did not receive any missed calls. We did reach out to you one day prior to the service, and when I personally called, you informed us that you had already decided to arrange a taxi directly with the hotel and no longer required our service. At that moment, you kindly said there was no problem. We acknowledge that contacting you only one day in advance could have contributed to the misunderstanding, and we truly regret this. Unfortunately, as the service was already confirmed, it could not be canceled without penalties. Despite this, and understanding your frustration, we accepted your refund request through Viator as a gesture of goodwill. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and will certainly take your comments into account to ensure earlier contact with our clients in the future. Thank you again for your feedback. Best regards, Ecuador Local Guide Team

Airport Transportation

We had 5 people going to the airport at 5:45 am. Our private transfer was early and included a driver and English translator (upon request). The van was very nice and clean and the translator, Javier, was very hospitable. Javier also walked us into the airport and made sure we were in the correct area for check-in. We had a very good experience!

Response from the operator: Dear Holly Thanks so much for writing this comment, Ecuador Local Guide is able to accommodate any request from our clients because the most important thing is to exceed every expectation. Hope you had a great time in Ecuador and may return in the future. Best wishes, Ecuador Local Guide Team

Excellent Service

Our driver was waiting for us, sign in hand and took us promptly to our hotel. I would highly recommend this service for anyone arriving in Guayaquil.

Response from the operator: Dear Cheryl, Thanks so much for writing down your comments about our airport pick up services, we offer only private service and our team of drivers have plenty of experience with this service. Thanks for trusting in Ecuador Local Guide. Best regards, Ecuador Local Guide Team

Quito airport transportation

The driver was on time and was very professional, polite. There were several issues. In Ecuador, locals comunícate with travelers through the WhatsUp App. No one told us and we never got a response once had booked the airport transport. Because we never heard from the local company after booking, we started looking for second alternate transportation choice. We left several voice mails and emails on the contact information provided, but no one responded. We got nervous about missing our flight and started searching for an alternate transport company. A local friend suggested we use What’s Up to contact them. It worked. They confirmed the pick up time. Another issue was that when booking there was no place to enter requested pick up time, only flight time. In other words, the transport company would determine the pick up time. When doing international flights, I am strict about the three hour airport arrival, too many things can go wrong. We were not given that option, only two hours. Thankfully, we made the flight on time. The third issue is with Viator. Every time I try to use the app, it will not accept my password, and it makes it impossible to change the password. I’ve had this issue repeatedly with the Viator app, and have had to book with other companies while traveling because I could not us the app.

Response from the operator: Dear Gregory, Thanks so much for your feedback, it is much appreciated and we respect your comment. We were very happy to get your booking as we have not worked since last march, so no mails after a long time and this the reason we have not been checking our email address and your booking was on Sunday afternoon, so we did not expect to get a booking for months but it is not an excuse and I apologize again Mr Gregory. We will be pending with our mailbox from now, it looks like the tourism is coming back again to Ecuador. Regarding your suggestion for pick up time you are right, I have reported many times to Viator, this is not our fault as this information is very important for us, I am going to remind them again. Regarding the issue with the App I will report them as well, hope they made figure out soon in order to avoid similar troubles in the near future. Thanks so much again Sir Gregory, thanks for your visit to Ecuador. Ecuador Local Guide Team!

Quito PRIVATE Departure Transfer from Hotels to the Airport: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Quito.

How much does Quito PRIVATE Departure Transfer from Hotels to the Airport cost?

+

Prices start at $8 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Quito usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Quito PRIVATE Departure Transfer from Hotels to the Airport take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Quito is not rushed.

Is Quito PRIVATE Departure Transfer from Hotels to the Airport worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Quito, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Quito PRIVATE Departure Transfer from Hotels to the Airport?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Quito PRIVATE Departure Transfer from Hotels to the Airport suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Quito PRIVATE Departure Transfer from Hotels to the Airport?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Quito can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Quito and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Quito PRIVATE Departure Transfer from Hotels to the Airport start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Quito within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Quito?

+

On Outty we rank every Quito experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cotopaxi tour from Quito -horseback ride and hike-NO TOURISTY way, Baños Full Day Tour from Quito Including Entrances and Activities, Gastronomic and Cultural Walking Tour of Quito with Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Quito?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Quito?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
