Best Day out
The two-hour bike tour before the wine tour was a real highlight. The autumn colours were spectacular, and the e-bike made it easy to take in the stunning countryside without too much effort. Blake was a fantastic guide. He took us to some wonderful wineries and made excellent recommendations throughout the day. He shared just enough of his own story to help us get to know him, while also showing genuine interest in our lives. One of the best guides I’ve had in a long time.
Response from the operator: Hi Despina, Thank you so much for your incredible review and sharing your fab photos too! We’re delighted you had such a great day on our Queenstown E-Bike & Wine Hopper Tour with Blake. The autumn colours in Central Otago really are something special right now! And the e-bike ride is such a great way to take it all in before settling into an afternoon exploring our wineries. It’s fantastic to hear Blake looked after you so well, he has a great way of balancing knowledge, recommendations, and genuine connection with guests. “One of the best guides” is high praise, he’ll be absolutely stoked to read that! We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and hope to welcome you back for another Queenstown wine adventure. Ngā mihi nui, Kiki & Andrew ❤️

Choose your own adventure, wine edition
6 stars if i was able to add an extra one for our guide Claire. Amazing, funny, knowledgeable, and clearly an “insider” who knows the various winery and personnel within. Day trip into the local Gibson valley winery scene. Choose your adventure starting point from a morning bike ride through a scenic local trail to low effort pickup and go from the passenger van. All roads lead to the wineries. The day unfolds based off the passenger preferences on winery visits where the guide will determine the most efficient path for each guest. Thus the hop on and off dynamic. All thats required is sit back and let the day unfold cause you just need to trust the guide like a 20 course omakase experience.
Response from the operator: Hi Donny, WOW!! 🙌 Thanks so much for your epic review and sharing your photos! We’re absolutely stoked you had such a great day out on our Queenstown E-Bike & Wine Tour with Claire. She’ll love the 6 star shoutout, she really is an insider and brings so much fun and knowledge to the day, as she's a WSET qualified Wine Guide! That “choose your own adventure” style is exactly what we aim for, from the scenic morning e-bike ride through Gibbston Valley to the relaxed afternoon exploring Central Otago wineries at your own pace. Trusting the guide like an omakase experience is one of the best descriptions we’ve ever heard! 😄 Thank you, really appreciate you taking the time to share this, it captures our wine tour experience perfectly. Ngā mihi nui, Kiki & Andrew ❤️

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Queenstown Electric Bike and Wine Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Queenstown.
How much does Queenstown Electric Bike and Wine Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $189 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Queenstown usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Queenstown Electric Bike and Wine Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Queenstown is not rushed.
Is Queenstown Electric Bike and Wine Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Queenstown, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Queenstown Electric Bike and Wine Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Queenstown Electric Bike and Wine Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Queenstown Electric Bike and Wine Tour?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Queenstown can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Queenstown and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Queenstown Electric Bike and Wine Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Queenstown within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Queenstown?
+
On Outty we rank every Queenstown experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Milford Sound Small Group Tour & Cruise from Queenstown, Milford Sound Premium Small Group Tour & Cruise from Queenstown, Award Winning Premium Wine Tour Queenstown Tasting at 4 Wineries. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Queenstown?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Queenstown?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
