Excellent walking tour, definitely recommended
One of the best city tours we have experienced, Christian our guide was so full of knowledge, he told the history of the city in a fun and engaging way, answering and explaining any questions the group had. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in learning about Quebec, historically and now.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re delighted you enjoyed your tour with Christian—his knowledge and engaging style make exploring Québec truly special. Our small groups allow plenty of time for questions and interaction, and we’d be thrilled to welcome you back in another season to discover even more of the city!

Worth the extra $$ for private tour
Delightful walking tour with Manon. Highlights were the explanations of the frescos & Canadians history as it relates to USA.

Raining and still a favorite excursion!
We walked though upper and lower Quebec City in the rain and wind and it was still one of our favorite excursions! Excellent guide, so much history and beauty, cute shops (but no time to stop until the end) . We had tea at the Frontanac Hotel, a highlight. Had it not been raining we would have shopped at the end, but it was 50 degrees....... Rode the funicular to upper QC so an easy walk down. The cathedral is beautiful to see inside.

Great walking tour of Old Quebec
Rejeanne took us on a wonderful and informative walking tour, pointing out many details that we would've missed otherwise. The pace was great and appreciated her shared insight of Old Quebec

Private walking tour.
When booking I indicated that there was a member of our party who was in a motorized wheelchair and was assured that the tour could accommodate his needs. I asked if he could do the cobblestone streets and was told the tour would be adapted for him. In actuality we were unable to see much of the city because it was too difficult for him to navigate the streets. I would have appreciated being told that it was not going to be a good idea for us to book this tour. We would have made other plans to make the tour easier for our entire group. We would probably have done the walking tour for 4 members of the group anyway and the other 2 could have selected a tour that was more handicap friendly. Our tour guide, Marize was excellent and did the best she could under the circumstances.

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Quebec City Shore Excursion: Private Walking Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Quebec City.
How much does Quebec City Shore Excursion: Private Walking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $259 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Quebec City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Quebec City Shore Excursion: Private Walking Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Quebec City is not rushed.
Is Quebec City Shore Excursion: Private Walking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Quebec City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Quebec City Shore Excursion: Private Walking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Quebec City Shore Excursion: Private Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Quebec City Shore Excursion: Private Walking Tour?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Quebec City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Quebec City and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Quebec City Shore Excursion: Private Walking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Quebec City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Quebec City?
+
On Outty we rank every Quebec City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Old Quebec Classique Walking Tour with Funicular, Uncover Old Quebec: Fun Walking Tour with a guide-Gratuity based, Quebec City Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Quebec City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Quebec City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
