this was an amazing tour,...
this was an amazing tour, Jenny, our guide was in our hotel lobby early & we set off with a private driver. Jenny spent the day teaching us a lot about Chinese culture & looking after us at every step of the tour, she went out of her way to take special care of our 2 children ages 8 & 11, Jenny spoke very good English & went above & beyond to make it an incredible day, as it was Labour day it was extremely busy, but she still managed to get us through the crowds & tick off everything we had planned & even added an extra shopping stop to end the day.

Don’t believe the hype
Was called the morning of tour to say cannot pick you up, only to eventually pick us up because I had only just arrived and had no money yet. I booked this tour because it included lunch and bottled water throughout the day. When on boat the bus I was told water was not included, when I pushed the point the tour guide got short with me and then gave me 1 bottle and said that was it. I had to purchase all future water. When at the Great Wall, 2 of our tour members took a long time to return so he left them behind!! They did go back and pick them up but still, during this time the guide was rude and cranky to us, yelling at us to hurry up. Barely let us finish our lunch. His time management was very poor, the day started out poorly because t-square and forbidden city was closed, instead of going straight to the Great Wall he messed around and wasted time in the morning. We got a good look at the Great Wall, very quick look at the forbidden city. The tour itself is ok, the tour guide was poor.
Response from the operator: Hello Dear Matt: First of all, I'm very sorry for your experience. We and your tour guide made many phone calls to the hotel and did not find any information about you. You didn't contact us until we sent you an email and got your call at 5 a.m., on the day of the trip on September 8. In order to celebrate National Day, military parades were held on September 8, and many roads were closed by government notice. Including your hotel location, only taxis can get in and out. But the tour guide and driver have overcome the difficulties and found a way to successfully pick up you. This trip is included lunch and a bottle of mineral water. Because the closing time of the Forbidden City was about 4 o'clock, two of the group members were late for more than half an hour. In order to let everyone catch up to visit the Palace Museum, The tour guide was really worried about missing to visit the Forbidden City. I am sorry again for this. We found that most of the comments on that day were given to five stars, one four-star comment, and your comment on the guide was two stars. The tour guide who commented on you will be punished. Thank you for your comments. Looking forward to your next visit. I am 100% confident that will receive your highest comments. Best Regards Linda

A fantastic tour to explore and learn about the famous sights!
Wow! What a way to see the city and learn about the history of China. My guide, Tina, spoke perfect English and took her time to explain things to us at every sight as well as giving us enough time to take quality photographs. This time of year is low season so it was only myself and two friends on the tour and the sights weren't overcrowded. The lunch included is basic and being a vegetarian I was limited, however buying extra items wasn't too expensive. The only downside to this tour were the visits to the Jade Factory and "Traditional Tea Room" - which was more of a shop, as these visits felt more like money making schemes than authentic experiences, and the items were extremely expensive. That said, I didn't feel obligated or forced into buying anything which was refreshing.
Response from the operator: Hello dear Emma: Warm greetings from us! Thank you for your comments, Our routes are all executed according to the schedule included in the itinerary. Our service guarantee NO force shopping and No hidden cost, We have different types of tours, including those without shopping tours. If you come to China again please feel free to contact with us, Looking forward to your coming again !!! Best regards Linda

Quality Coach Day Tour to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City plus Badaling Great Wall: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.
How much does Quality Coach Day Tour to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City plus Badaling Great Wall cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Quality Coach Day Tour to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City plus Badaling Great Wall take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.
Is Quality Coach Day Tour to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City plus Badaling Great Wall worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Quality Coach Day Tour to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City plus Badaling Great Wall?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Quality Coach Day Tour to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City plus Badaling Great Wall suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Quality Coach Day Tour to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City plus Badaling Great Wall?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Quality Coach Day Tour to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City plus Badaling Great Wall start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Beijing?
+
On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Beijing?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Beijing?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
