Rude and threatening driving, change of plans and requesting extra money. Ruined day. Avoid it!

Bad experience – avoid Book Tour Egypt We booked a trip to Cairo with a visit to the Pyramids and the New Great Egyptian Museum. As soon as we arrived, the guide immediately asked us for the money. Luckily we hadn't paid for everything in advance, and this was our salvation. On the way, the guide changed plans and wanted to take us to the old museum, despite it being clearly agreed for the new one. When we objected, we started receiving threatening WhatsApp messages from the agency. The guide (Mohamed, known as “Cobra”) to the Pyramids repeated the same information over and over again and answered questions vaguely or wrongly — there was also an Egyptologist in the group, so the mistakes were obvious. Then the driver took us to the owner of the agency, who started screaming and asking for 100 euros more for the tickets to the new museum. Scared, we paid. At the museum, without our request, other Italian tourists joined, and we decided to continue the visit alone. Ruined day for everyone, there were eight of us with four kids. However, we would like to say that the Egyptian people are extraordinary: kind, welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately, this agency does not represent them at all. Not recommended. Don't trust Book Tour Egypt.

    Fantastic day

Have used Book tour Egypt for all of my excursions. This is my 3rd time flying to Cairo with them, my sons 2nd & daughters 1st. Had a truly magical day which i could go again & again as so much to see/take in. Contact is all via WhatsApp which is 100% cannot fault them. Went to visit the Giza pyramids/Sphinx again. Memphis, Saqqara pyramid, cruise up the Nile(£10) but worth it, lunch & perfume factory. All done with our brilliant guide Mario who is the best & very knowledgeable about anything to do with Egypt(many thanks Mario) many thanks Book Tour Egypt for making me & my childrens day very special. How much does Pyramids and the Great Egyptian Museum (GEM) & Bazaar from Cairo cost?

    +

How long does Pyramids and the Great Egyptian Museum (GEM) & Bazaar from Cairo take?

Is Pyramids and the Great Egyptian Museum (GEM) & Bazaar from Cairo worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 33 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Giza, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pyramids and the Great Egyptian Museum (GEM) & Bazaar from Cairo?

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Pyramids and the Great Egyptian Museum (GEM) & Bazaar from Cairo suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book Pyramids and the Great Egyptian Museum (GEM) & Bazaar from Cairo?

    +

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Giza can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Giza and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Giza?

    +

On Outty we rank every Giza experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Camel, ATV Bike, Shopping & Dinner Cruise, ViP Private Tour Giza Pyramids, camel ride , inside 3rd Pyramid, Giza Pyramids VIP Private Tour ATV Camel Inside Pyramid & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Giza?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Giza?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
