Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin (Masjid Besi)
The Iron Mosque (or Tunku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque) is another architectural wonder worth checking out. Constructed primarily from steel, “wire mesh” architecture draws inspiration from Chinese and German designs. Unlike other mosques in Malaysia, there is no minaret which is used to call for prayers. From afar, it looks like it is made of metal or glass.

Designed in 2005 to usher in the new millennium, this is the first monument to be built in Putrajaya. The walkway twirling around the monument illustrates the history of Malaysia, the panels describing significant events in the country. There is a time capsule at the base of the monument which will be opened in 2020. As you move up along the ramps of the Millennium Monument, you can see sweeping views of the waterfront.

Putrajaya tour
Excellent value for money. Not so much a guided tour but more of a driver to take you easily from each attraction. The Iron Mosque was by far the most interesting, with well informed and enthusiastic guides! Such amazing people! The driver was very polite and helpful.

Incomplete Tour
The driver was late and he came in a taxi car. We were expecting a more professional or suitable car. He only spent 2 hrs with this tour and the description of it clearly said it was for 4 hrs. I asked him about a mall in Putrajaya and he said there was no malls, which was a lye because there is one and very big one. Also, the tour iwas supposed to include the Marrocan Pavilion and when we asked him, he said it was located outside, which again that is not true because it is there. I studies these details before booking this tour and another travel agent confirmed all of these things later on to me. I was disappointed the tour did not include all the places as stated because we paid and came from very far away. Please make sure and going forward that it does. The man was a nice person but please make sure you have more competent and knowledgeable tour guides. Thank you and sincerely, The Ryans (Claudia, Mike & Ethan)

Not the best choice
While our driver was courteous, this tour does not include a guide. We were driven to the very impressive Putrajaya government complex and given two hours to spend on our own exploring the Putra Mosque and taking a look at the very pretty Perdana Putra. We opted to pass on visiting the Iron Mosque as we have seen so many others around the world. Finally, we were taken to the Taman Botani Putrajaya, where we spent 20 minutes on our own in the park. All the other sights were merely drive-bys. We never made it to the Millennium Moment nor the Seri Perdana. This is a trip that can easily be done via GRAB.

Poor communication
Overall, this tour was a bit disappointing. The main reason we booked the Putrajaya City Tour was to visit and go inside the Pink mosque, however we were not informed at the time of booking that on Fridays it is closed to visitors until after 3pm due to prayers. As a result, we were unable to enter the mosque , which was frustrating as this was the highlight of the tour for us. If this was communicated to us we could have chosen another time to visit. The rest of the tour was fairly average. It was nice to see parts of the city and surrounding areas, but it didn’t make up for missing the main experience we had booked for. That said, the guide was friendly and informative, and did their best to provide information throughout the tour.

Do not do this
The driver was lovely but this "tour" is just a way for the company to scam tourists. Calling it a tour in the title is a lie, it is essentially an overpriced taxi which you could organise your self for a fraction of the cost. Do not do this. Also made very uncomfortable by the driver having to take compulsory photos of me at different places to send his boss. Not female solo traveller friendly.
