SCAM... not as advertised don't wear your good clothes. I would post pictures. BUT I NEVER RECEIVED THEM

This trip started off the worst. The catamaran could not dock, therefore we had to walk through mounts of seaweed to get to the boat. Mind you we were dressed for dinner. In long pants and dresses. Secondly, we were expecting a sit-down dinner with a table and plates. Instead, dinner was served appetizer style on stewers. Although tasty definitely not what we expected. 3rd there was a photographer that took pictures to capture our memories. At the end charged $350. However, our charge card ended up being charged $378 and we never received the pictures. Carla Vasquez has been giving us the run around and no refund. The best part of the evening was the sunset and the music. Definitely not worth the $1250 we paid for plus the additional $378 that we were ripped off for. not to mention the expensive clothes we purchased for our theme night out

    Worst experience ever!

Run fast from this excursion by Infinity! It was a horrible experience that words can't begin to cover. I question the legitimacy of the positive reviews. Walk to beach is down a razor lined path filled with trash and smelling of urine. At the beach they made us walk waist deep through sargassum and now I am covered in an awful rash, up to my waist. Two people fell and one had his cell phone ruined. We had 19 people, but over half were not drinking champagne, yet they ran out on a "champagne cruise ". The "mojito" was lemonade from a bottle and rum and the only water (source unknown) was in a small jug. The boat deck was super slick and my husband and another guy fell getting on. The cruise promised two hours along the coast and swimming in natural pools. They went maybe a mile out(2 songs worth) and stopped the boat, got out the grill and said that was where we were swimming. We pressed them and after them arguing with us, and our photographer who is very well known in PC advocating for us, they took us a little further where there was at least no sargassum. We were supposed to have grilled chicken, lobster, shrimp and vegetables , but there was no chicken and the vegetables were half inch squares skewered between the shrimp. The "chef" was simply the boat captain. When we got back to shore we asked the captain if there was water we could rinse our legs in after trudging through the sargassum. He said, "No hablo ingles" (even though it specifically said English speaking), so we asked him in Spanish. He huffed and stormed off. For your sake, avoid this excursion and any by Infinity Oceans Catamarans or Boat Trips Punta Cana.

Response from the operator: Dear Brian Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're truly sorry to hear that your tour did not meet expectations, and we appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. While we strive to provide a smooth and enjoyable experience for every guest, it’s clear that in this case, things didn’t go as planned — and for that, we sincerely apologize. To clarify a few points: Champagne is offered in limited quantities as part of the tour, but not on an unlimited basis. We understand how this may have caused frustration and will make this more clear going forward. We do not currently offer water access for rinsing off at the beach. While this is a limitation of the location, we recognize how it may have impacted your comfort, especially given the conditions that day. Regarding the drinks, food, and service — we’ve shared your comments with the team to ensure better preparation and guest communication in the future. We truly regret that your day with us didn’t reflect the standard we work hard to maintain. If you would be open to discussing your experience further, please feel free to reach out to us directly at . We'd welcome the opportunity to speak with you and see how we can make it right.

Nice staff, but experience not as advertised

The staff was really friendly, the food was good, and the sunset views were really lovely, but overall the experience was not as advertised. This is a management fault and not a complaint for the boat staff. It was advertised as a 2-hour sunset cruise with snorkeling & equipment included. Once we boarded the staff confirmed that snorkeling is not actually possible at sunset and was confused by our expectations. The food was good, but was served without any type of cutlery. There was champagne, but the rest of the drinks onboard were pre-made mixes that didn't taste good. (We had taken a snorkeling cruise the day prior with a similar open bar offering that had much better drinks.) We also were back on shore 15 min early so weren't able to get our full time promised on the water. Would not recommend given the expensive price.

Response from the operator: As we discussed, you arrived four minutes earlier than scheduled, but since we operate a sunset tour in the evening, we must dock on time to ensure a smooth departure and follow strict safety regulations. Unfortunately, once we begin boarding, we cannot delay the departure as it would affect the entire tour schedule. Regarding snorkeling, we completely understand your disappointment. However, as this is an evening tour, snorkeling is not permitted for safety reasons. We always prioritize the well-being of our guests, which is why we do not offer snorkeling during this experience. Once again, we truly apologize for any inconvenience caused. We value your feedback and are always here if you’d like to discuss anything further. Please feel free to reach out anytime

Punta Cana Sunset Catamaran Cruise with BBQ, Champagne & Music: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does Punta Cana Sunset Catamaran Cruise with BBQ, Champagne & Music cost?

    +

Prices start at $795 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Punta Cana Sunset Catamaran Cruise with BBQ, Champagne & Music take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.

Is Punta Cana Sunset Catamaran Cruise with BBQ, Champagne & Music worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 35 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (2/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Punta Cana Sunset Catamaran Cruise with BBQ, Champagne & Music?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Punta Cana Sunset Catamaran Cruise with BBQ, Champagne & Music suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Punta Cana Sunset Catamaran Cruise with BBQ, Champagne & Music?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Punta Cana Sunset Catamaran Cruise with BBQ, Champagne & Music start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
