Could have been five stars!
Why I am only giving it two stars... 1. We had 37 people, paid for the first 25 through Viator. I had collected all the money prior (via Venmo) to make it seamless day of. As soon as we get there, we are told we must pay the other $720 in CASH. I did not bring $720 in cash. She just kept telling us we must get it from the ATM. This we did, then with the conversion, using some USD, we are certain they took far more than necessary from us (closer to $800) which doesn't even include transaction fees, etc. 2. We all REALLY wanted to snorkel - msgd that morning about the bad storms rolling in, the wind, choppy water, etc. Was told "The weather is perfect for today, you have nothing to worry about, everything is normal." As soon as we got on the boat, we were told it is unsafe to snorkel due to high winds and large waves. Disappointed is an understatement - because this is what we paid for. 3. They took photos - these were GREAT! They allowed us to pay for the photos with Credit Card - which made #1 even more frustrating! 4. They brought you to a floating bar with multiple people trying to see you things. **We had a GREAT group of people that made the most of this excursion. The boat staff were GREAT! The captain, the music, the bartender... all wonderful! The snack was chips and salsa - not the "Nachos and ham and cheese sandwich" as advertised, so eat before you go. I added a photo that they took as well as one from when we were in the storm - you couldn't see over the edge of the boat the rain was so thick and heavy! We made the best of it - but overall, did not get what we (over)paid for.
Response from the operator: Dear Valeria Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the service you experienced. We take this feedback seriously and are actively working to address these issues to ensure a better experience for our future guests. We're thrilled to hear that you had a fantastic time aboard the Bebe catamaran with our crew, we are sorry for the condition of the sea, our tropical weather is constantly changing. We appreciate your honestly and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for a more seamless experience. have a very happy rest of the day! Best Regards!

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Punta Cana Private Boat with Slide for up to 20 Guests: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does Punta Cana Private Boat with Slide for up to 20 Guests cost?
+
Prices start at $1300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Punta Cana Private Boat with Slide for up to 20 Guests take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is Punta Cana Private Boat with Slide for up to 20 Guests worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Punta Cana Private Boat with Slide for up to 20 Guests?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Punta Cana Private Boat with Slide for up to 20 Guests suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Punta Cana Private Boat with Slide for up to 20 Guests?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Punta Cana Private Boat with Slide for up to 20 Guests start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
