Pros & Cons
Pros: the service, the transportation, the snorkeling experience was great, the guys working the boats was great, overall we definitely did have a good time. Cons: my husband and I were the last to go up on the parasailing portion. I understand that they in no way can change the wind conditions. However, when iy was our time to go, there was a long portion of time where the sail was not going up and we were getting dragged through the water. They could have stopped a bit earlier on when we were up when they noticed it wasn’t working, rather than trying a few more times to get it back up. To give you an idea, everyone else pretty much barely touched the water, my husband and I were dragged semi UNDER the water. And my husband was becoming tangled in the lines during this too along with being a little close to the motor…. They did apologize when pulling me up. But this could have been worse. When we got to the snorkeling boat, they had us sign waivers… after the fact… they did say to us that they’d refund the two of us for the parasailing portion, and that the “boss would be in touch with me”…. They never did. I didn’t get a response through messaging them, so i requested a refund of 50%. I think given the circumstances… They never got back to me and only issued a $100 refund…. Without acknowledging the safety issue. My one other complaint was with the photo guys. We fully expected to be charged for them but kept saying no at first because the price. They would NOT let it go, and then as we were walking back to the bus, once we worked it out, the second photographer really sat there and looked at us with an agressive attitude got close to us and saying to my husband “but where’s my tip??”. I think the refund I requested originally would have been fair considering the experience we had. The snorkeling portion was great and we loved the host on the snorkeling boat. The safety issue along with the semi lack of communication, and the second photographer towards the end put a damper on things. Still enjoying the snorkeling portion though.

Perfect experience - from...
Perfect experience - from the pickup at our hotel in Cap Cana, everything went smoothly. The team was friendly and welcoming, and we had a great first time parasailing, and the catamaran was exactly what we had hoped for.

Not impressed
Our tour operators spoke very little English, did not provide any explanation of the process or safety protocol and were not overly friendly.

Overall good experience…
The overall experience was good…the truck ride after pickup was like a ride from hell. After almost an hour of getting to the destination everything was good.

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Punta Cana Parasailing & Snorkeling Cruise Experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does Punta Cana Parasailing & Snorkeling Cruise Experience cost?
+
Prices start at $140 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Punta Cana Parasailing & Snorkeling Cruise Experience take?
+
Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is Punta Cana Parasailing & Snorkeling Cruise Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 656 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Punta Cana Parasailing & Snorkeling Cruise Experience?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Punta Cana Parasailing & Snorkeling Cruise Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Punta Cana Parasailing & Snorkeling Cruise Experience?
+
Around 230 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Punta Cana Parasailing & Snorkeling Cruise Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Off Road Buggy Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
